Claims (3)

1. Elektrischer Isolator (1) mit einer verringerten Schmutzempfindlichkeit, mit einem Körper aus einem dielektrischen Material (3), das aus Glas und Porzellan ausgewählt wird, wobei der Körper eine äußere halbleitende Umhüllung (6) aufweist, die aus einer Keramikschicht besteht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Keramikschicht im wesentlichen Zinkoxid aufweist, dem mindestens ein Metalloxid zugefügt ist, das eine Nichtlinearität in der Spannung-Strom-Kurve des Zinkoxids erzeugt, wie 1 = kV a, wobei a zwischen 20 und 50 liegt, wobei die Dicke der Umhüllung zwischen 0,05 und 0,5 mm liegt.
2. Isolator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Gehalt an Zinkoxid in der Umhüllung über 90% liegt.
3. Isolator nach einem der Ansprüche 1 und 2, dadurch gewkennzeichnet, daß das Metalloxid aus der Gruppe ausgewählt wird, die von Wismuth-, Mangan-, Kobalt-, Chrom- und Antimonoxid gebildet wird.
