Definitions

  • the invention relates to an extendable tent roof of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1, in particular an awning, an awning for motorhomes and the like.
  • Awnings are usually attached to walls or parapets of fixed buildings and serve to shade the area under the awning and at the same time to protect it from rain and wind.
  • Awnings on the other hand, are often found on motorhomes, caravans and the like. attached and have a frame that can be supported by additional vertical profile parts.
  • An extendable tent roof of the type described in the opening paragraph is known from DE-C-958 988.
  • a support rod is attached to the roof of a motorhome, on which two articulated arms are pivotally arranged. At the ends of these articulated arms, another articulated arm is provided so as to be pivotable about a joint, so that the two articulated arms connected in series form an articulated arm train.
  • the free ends of the articulated arm cables are connected to an eaves purlin.
  • the eaves purlin is supported on the ground by legs.
  • the field spanned by the articulated arm pulls to the eaves purlin is covered with a tent skin, so that this results in a pent roof with a continuous angle of inclination.
  • the articulated arm pulls assume an extended position.
  • the roof membrane to be installed separately is stretched over the resulting surface.
  • the tent roof extends relatively far, a number of problems arise. Since the roof skin is stretched out as a large piece, it is necessary to avoid the formation of water pockets, namely the sagging and accumulation of rainwater on the roof skin. In order to avoid this feared water bag formation, it makes sense to choose the slope of the tent roof relatively large so that the water can run off unhindered. However, if the slope is comparatively large, the doors of the motorhome can often no longer or no longer be opened completely, especially if the tent roof is not attached to the motorhome but to the side wall of the motorhome.
  • EP-A-0030 398 shows an awning for a motorhome in which the problems described are clearly recognizable. It is only possible to open the doors under the awning when the awning is placed on the motorhome.
  • the frame of the awning is fundamentally different. Several articulated arms pivot here about a single coinciding or coinciding vertical axis, so that an umbrella-like structure is created.
  • the tent skin creates more or less straight or sagging surfaces, which extend from the suspension of the tent roof on the motorhome to its eaves.
  • awnings are known, for example, at the seats of stationary buildings, on the balcony, but also on caravans that are firmly attached to the respective part.
  • the awning frame has spring-loaded articulated arm pulls and is extended laterally from the building, for example, with the awning cover stretching.
  • This awning fabric is gripped and guided along two parallel edges and hangs in between because there is no further support here.
  • the awning frame can also be equipped with legs, which are then added.
  • the main disadvantages of such an awning can be seen in the fact that the frame mechanism comprising the springs is sensitive to moisture. By sagging the awning cloth occurs the well-known water bag formation, d. H.
  • Basket awnings are also known, which can either be rigid or extendable. Basket awnings of this type have a complicated frame with numerous, usually U-shaped, articulated arms, over which a roof skin stretches in the open position. This gives the roof skin several smaller areas in different inclinations, so that the dreaded water sack formation is usually avoided with such basket awnings. Due to the surface of the roof covering spanned in several levels, the basket awning is particularly strong, which is also reflected in a comparatively increased resistance to wind. In addition, the basket awning has a very aesthetically pleasing appearance that cannot be achieved with conventional awnings.
  • the invention has for its object to develop an extendable tent roof of the type described in such a way that it can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily and in which the feared water bag formation does not occur. If necessary, the tent roof should only be able to be handled by one operator.
  • this is achieved in that at least one continuous purlin is provided in the area of the respective articulated pieces of the articulated arm trains parallel to the eaves purlin, on which the articulated pieces or the ends of the articulated arms facing the articulated pieces are displaceably guided, and each articulated joint piece has at least one joint, which is designed and arranged such that the two articulated arms connected to it are on the one hand pivotable parallel to each other and on the other hand form a downward curve in the swung-open position.
  • the additionally provided continuous purlin which can also be arranged several times in addition to the eaves purlin, ensures that the roof skin is not only supported in the area of the suspension and the eaves purlin, but also in between. Because e.g.
  • the tent roof has the ease of use of a conventional awning combined with the aesthetic advantages of a basket awning. Due to this peculiar shape, the technical advantage is also achieved that such a tent roof z. B. can be attached as an awning to a caravan, the doors can be opened even when attached to the side wall of the caravan.
  • the joint piece can have at least one joint, the axis of which is arranged at an obtuse angle a between approximately 91 and 105 ° to the extent of at least one of the two articulated arms adjoining the joint piece.
  • This obtuse angle can be seen in the opened position in a side view.
  • the articulated arms of the articulated arm train in question can be brought together parallel to one another, the side walls of the profile of the articulated arms not necessarily having to lie in parallel planes.
  • the joint piece it is also possible for the joint piece to have two joints, the axes of which are arranged at an acute, upwardly opening angle ⁇ between approximately 2 and 30 ° to one another.
  • the roof covering is also supported across the entire width of the tent roof. It goes without saying that with very wide tent roofs, more than two articulated arm pulls can also be provided.
  • the displaceability of the joint pieces on the purlin can be designed to be lockable, which additionally increases the stability of the frame and the entire awning.
  • This gable effect reduces or eliminates the formation of water bags and also contributes to the fact that even with a motorhome, in which a height of 2.6 m has to be bridged with the awning, the door of the motorhome inside the awning can be opened without any problems and lets close.
  • the articulated arms of each articulated arm train can have the same or different lengths. With the same length, the field width is the same. If, in addition, a constant obtuse angle a or acute angle ⁇ is observed, a tent roof that is particularly aesthetically pleasing is created. However, it is also possible to reduce the angle as the tent roof protrudes.
  • the articulated arms can also have an unequal length, so that in this way, unevenly sized, mutually kinked fields are formed on the tent roof.
  • the frame is folded together with the piece of tent skin intended for the area spanned by the articulated arm pulls in a wall or on the motorhome or the like.
  • container to be fastened can be accommodated.
  • This container consists of a lower part and a lid-like upper part, so that the tent roof is completely protected in the retracted position. This advantage can also be used for awnings on fixed buildings.
  • the purlin or the purlins can expediently be provided above the articulated pieces or the ends of the articulated arms facing the articulated pieces, so that the tent roof or awning fabric rests continuously on this purlin at the same height and is thus supported in a linear manner.
  • the purlin can be rounded off at the support point.
  • the frame can have a clamping rail or a winding roller parallel to the continuous purlin, the piece of the tent skin, awning fabric or the like intended for the roof being anchored spanning the continuous purlin on the clamping rail or the winding roller and on the eaves purlin.
  • the continuous purlin is in each case spanned at an angle in a gable-like manner and thus arranged above the plane determined by the clamping rail and the eaves purlin, so that the gable effect already described, with all its advantages, results.
  • one of the articulated arms can be articulated by means of a hinge, the articulated arms being combined in pairs on the articulated pieces arranged on the continuous purlin or the purlins.
  • the hinge pieces are symmetrical on the respective purlin by means of a cable mounted in the purlin, a spring arrangement or the like. guided.
  • the joint pieces can be moved on the continuous purlin in such a way that the articulated arms, which are combined in pairs on it, are stretched parallel to the continuous purlin in the folded position and perpendicular to the continuous purlin in the erected position. This means that the two articulated arms belonging to each other lie almost or exactly in a vertical plane in the erected position. Together with the continuous purlin, this results in a considerable increase in the strength and stability of the tent roof.
  • a telescopically extendable and lockable leg can be provided, which can be pivoted about a joint up to parallel contact with the eaves purlin and can be fixed in this position.
  • the legs are also part of the frame and are brought into the container together with this or are pulled out during assembly. These joints also contribute to stiffening.
  • the legs are therefore designed telescopically, on the one hand to compensate for differences in height of the terrain and, on the other hand, to allow the legs to be adjusted in a folded state parallel to the eaves purlin. This applies in particular to a very narrow or short tent roof;
  • an eyelet holder or several such eyelet holders can be provided on the eaves purlin.
  • the container can have a lid which can be pivoted about an axis arranged above the suspension of the clamping rail or the winding roller and can be fixed in the open and in the closed position.
  • the container has known hinges that fix the open position so that the frame can then be pulled out of the container by one operator.
  • the closed position of the container can also be blocked, for example locked, in particular on a motorhome.
  • Holders which can be swiveled up and down and enclose the frame and the piece of tent skin intended for the roof can be arranged in the container above the clamping rail. These holders encompass the frame with the roof skin and can be swiveled upwards into a fixing position so that the frame and the roof skin can be pushed into the container.
  • the holders can then be folded down one after the other into the closed position, the frame and the roof skin already being held by the first folded-down holder. This is necessary because, for example, the container is attached to a motorhome at such a height that it can only be accessed with the aid of a ladder.
  • the essential components of the tent roof which is designed as an awning, are a frame 1 of profile parts to be hung out and a tent skin 2, of which only the piece 3 intended for the roof is indicated in dashed lines in FIG. 1.
  • the frame 1 has a clamping rail 4, which can also be designed as a welt rail, parallel to it a continuous purlin 5 and an eaves purlin 6, which also extends parallel to it.
  • Articulated arms 8 and 9 are each in one plane via hinges 7, i.e. pivotable about axes defined by the hinges 7, FIG. 1 showing an intermediate position.
  • On the continuous purlin 5 there are displaceably arranged joint pieces 10, each with two joints 11 and 12, the axes of which intersect one another.
  • the continuous purlin 5 is arranged outside, namely above the plane spanned by the clamping rail 4 and the eaves purlin 6.
  • the hinge pieces 10 can be fixed in any intermediate position, in particular. But in the end position (FIG. 3) by means of the locking device 13.
  • the piece 3 of the tent skin 2 is fastened on the one hand to the clamping rail and on the other hand to the eaves purlin 6 by means of a known piping connection, wherein it spans the articulated arms 8 and 9 and the continuous purlin 5.
  • Legs 15 are pivotably arranged parallel or perpendicular to the eaves purlin 6 via hinges 14, each consisting of two telescopically guided profile parts 16 and 17, for example by means of clamping screws 18, the profile parts 16 and 17 can be fixed in any extended position.
  • An eyelet-shaped holder 19 on the eaves purlin 6 receives the lower ends of the profile parts 17 of the legs 15 in the folded position and secures them.
  • further hinges 20 are provided which define a horizontal axis of rotation or swivel axis about which the articulated arms 8 and the remaining components of the frame attached to them can be pivoted.
  • These hinges 20 are either arranged on the clamping rail 4 or directly in the container, which is not shown in FIG. 1. As can be seen, when assembling or assembling the frame 1, it is only necessary to actuate the legs 15 and the locks 13 of the joint pieces 10. In the folded or pushed-together position, the individual parts of the frame assume the relative position shown in FIG. 2.
  • Fig. 3 shows the erected position of the frame, with a front wall part 21 and to the right and left of it two side wall parts 22 including a window formation are indicated.
  • a container 23 with a lid 24 on the side wall of a motorhome not shown, which can be pivoted into an open position about an axis above the clamping rail 4 and can be automatically fixed there when pivoting open, as indicated in FIG. 3 .
  • the clamping rail 4 and the hinges 20 are arranged in a fixed manner in the lower part of the container 23, while all other parts of the frame 1 can be moved in the context of the arranged hinges and joints.
  • Holders 25 are only indicated schematically.
  • These holders 25 can also be fixed in the illustrated folded-up position so that the frame 1 can be pushed together with the piece 3 of the tent skin 2 and folded and in this state can be pivoted under the holder 25 into the lower part of the container 23. Subsequently, a holder 25 and then the remaining holders 25 are pivoted down so that the frame 1 around the hinges 20 can no longer be released and can fall out of the container 23. The lid 24 is then closed.
  • the extendable tent roof in the form of an awning is illustrated in a first embodiment.
  • a fastening and carrying device 29 is arranged on a house wall 28, which is only indicated schematically, and in the area of which a winding roller 30 is provided for winding up the tent skin 2 or roof skin, which is formed by the awning fabric.

  • the free ends of the articulated arms 9 engage on the eaves purlin 6 via hinges 7.
  • the eaves purlin 6 has an insertion slot in which a valance 31 is suspended instead of a front wall part.
  • the articulated arms 8 and 9 must have the same length since the hinges 7 are arranged in a stationary manner. If, instead of the hinges 7 on the eaves purlin 6, joint pieces 10 are also arranged to be displaceable and lockable, the length of the joint arms 8 and 9 can also be different.
  • the joint pieces 10 have two joint axes intersecting at an angle ⁇ on the joints 11 and 12, so that the gable effect from FIG. 4 can be seen particularly well. This prevents water pockets from forming.
  • the tent skin 2 spans in mutually angled areas, which not only improves the awning from a technical point of view, but also gives it a particularly elegant appearance. It goes without saying that the eaves purlin 6 and / or the continuous purlin 5 could be supported by additional legs 15, as is illustrated in the exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 to 3.
  • FIGS. 6 and 7 The embodiment of FIGS. 6 and 7 is designed on the same principle.
  • Each articulated arm train here has the four articulated arms 8, 9, 8 ', 9', a joint piece 10 with the joints 11 and 12 (FIGS. 10 and 11) or with the joint 11 '(FIG. 13) between each two adjacent articulated arms ) or with the joints 11 'and 12' (Fig. 16) is provided.

  • All joint pieces 10 are displaceable and, if necessary, lockable on the purlins 5, 5 ', 5 ". This results in a multiple kinking of the tent roof with the desired gable-like effect in multiple arrangement
  • the projection of the awning is larger, each individual field of the tent skin 2 is more or less evenly stretched out, so that water bag formation certainly does not occur.
  • each articulated arm train consists of a plurality of articulated arms
  • there is, for example, the possibility, with the same length of the articulated arms, of arranging every second articulated piece 10 in a fixed position on the respective continuous purlin, while the articulated pieces 10 in between are then displaceable on the respective purlin are.
  • three fields are formed, that is, two continuous purlins 5, 5 'are provided between the fastening and carrying device 29 and the eaves purlin 6.
  • the articulated arms 8, 9, 8 'can have different lengths in order to aesthetically influence the appearance of the awning.

Description

The invention relates to an extendable tent roof of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1, in particular an awning, an awning for motorhomes and the like. Awnings are usually attached to walls or parapets of fixed buildings and serve to shade the area under the awning and at the same time to protect it from rain and wind. Awnings, on the other hand, are often found on motorhomes, caravans and the like. attached and have a frame that can be supported by additional vertical profile parts.

An extendable tent roof of the type described in the opening paragraph is known from DE-C-958 988. A support rod is attached to the roof of a motorhome, on which two articulated arms are pivotally arranged. At the ends of these articulated arms, another articulated arm is provided so as to be pivotable about a joint, so that the two articulated arms connected in series form an articulated arm train. The free ends of the articulated arm cables are connected to an eaves purlin. The eaves purlin is supported on the ground by legs. The field spanned by the articulated arm pulls to the eaves purlin is covered with a tent skin, so that this results in a pent roof with a continuous angle of inclination. In the open position, the articulated arm pulls assume an extended position. The roof membrane to be installed separately is stretched over the resulting surface. If the tent roof extends relatively far, a number of problems arise.

For example, EP-A-0030 398 shows an awning for a motorhome in which the problems described are clearly recognizable. It is only possible to open the doors under the awning when the awning is placed on the motorhome. However, the frame of the awning is fundamentally different. Several articulated arms pivot here about a single coinciding or coinciding vertical axis, so that an umbrella-like structure is created. Here too, the tent skin creates more or less straight or sagging surfaces, which extend from the suspension of the tent roof on the motorhome to its eaves.

On the other hand, awnings are known, for example, at the seats of stationary buildings, on the balcony, but also on caravans that are firmly attached to the respective part. The awning frame has spring-loaded articulated arm pulls and is extended laterally from the building, for example, with the awning cover stretching. This awning fabric is gripped and guided along two parallel edges and hangs in between because there is no further support here. The awning frame can also be equipped with legs, which are then added. The main disadvantages of such an awning can be seen in the fact that the frame mechanism comprising the springs is sensitive to moisture. By sagging the awning cloth occurs the well-known water bag formation, d. H. when it rains, the water collects on the sagging awning cloth and forms a water bag there, which on the one hand means a considerable weight load and on the other hand often leaves unsightly stains in the awning cloth. A firm and tight attachment of side walls is very problematic with such an awning. If an awning is used on a motorhome, then because of the comparatively high door, a relatively large height must be bridged, which is reflected in a corresponding inclination of the awning fabric or the roof skin of an awning, whereby it often happens that the door of the Motorhomes - if at all - can only be partially opened.

So-called basket awnings are also known, which can either be rigid or extendable.

The invention has for its object to develop an extendable tent roof of the type described in such a way that it can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily and in which the feared water bag formation does not occur. If necessary, the tent roof should only be able to be handled by one operator.

According to the invention, this is achieved in that at least one continuous purlin is provided in the area of the respective articulated pieces of the articulated arm trains parallel to the eaves purlin, on which the articulated pieces or the ends of the articulated arms facing the articulated pieces are displaceably guided, and each articulated joint piece has at least one joint, which is designed and arranged such that the two articulated arms connected to it are on the one hand pivotable parallel to each other and on the other hand form a downward curve in the swung-open position. The additionally provided continuous purlin, which can also be arranged several times in addition to the eaves purlin, ensures that the roof skin is not only supported in the area of the suspension and the eaves purlin, but also in between. Because e.g. B. an awning cloth is held taut with the help of the frame in the individual fields thus formed, there is also increased stability in the pivoted position. This support makes the individual fields of the roof skin smaller, so that the sagging of the roof skin, as is a prerequisite for the formation of water bags, is severely restricted. The tent roof has the ease of use of a conventional awning combined with the aesthetic advantages of a basket awning. Due to this peculiar shape, the technical advantage is also achieved that such a tent roof z. B. can be attached as an awning to a caravan, the doors can be opened even when attached to the side wall of the caravan.

There are various options for realizing the joint pieces. Thus, the joint piece can have at least one joint, the axis of which is arranged at an obtuse angle a between approximately 91 and 105 ° to the extent of at least one of the two articulated arms adjoining the joint piece. This obtuse angle can be seen in the opened position in a side view. In addition, it must of course be ensured that the articulated arms of the articulated arm train in question can be brought together parallel to one another, the side walls of the profile of the articulated arms not necessarily having to lie in parallel planes. However, it is also possible for the joint piece to have two joints, the axes of which are arranged at an acute, upwardly opening angle β between approximately 2 and 30 ° to one another. In both cases there is a downward movement in the swiveled position, i.e. Curved curve towards the ground, which has the technical advantages of stability and the avoidance of water bag formation and is also particularly aesthetically pleasing. This shape of the articulated arm pulls makes it easier and more effective to stretch the awning fabric as tent skin, which considerably increases the strength and stability of the awning. The tent roof is therefore more resistant to wind and rain. The part of the tent skin intended for the roof is connected to the frame, for example on the one hand on the eaves purlin and on the other hand on a winding roller of an awning, so that this roof skin inevitably also tensions when the frame is erected. Each additional purlin stretches this roof skin like a gable. The roof covering is also supported across the entire width of the tent roof. It goes without saying that with very wide tent roofs, more than two articulated arm pulls can also be provided. The displaceability of the joint pieces on the purlin can be designed to be lockable, which additionally increases the stability of the frame and the entire awning. At the same time, there are also geometric advantages. This gable effect reduces or eliminates the formation of water bags and also contributes to the fact that even with a motorhome, in which a height of 2.6 m has to be bridged with the awning, the door of the motorhome inside the awning can be opened without any problems and lets close.

It is possible to provide several purlins parallel to the eaves purlin and to guide the joint pieces preferably on each purlin and, if necessary, to lock them. It is also possible to dispense with a purlin on a joint piece if the articulated arm train has at least two joint pieces. As a result, the gable-like stiffening is then dispensed with in this area. The joint pieces do not necessarily have to be made in one piece. It is also possible to assign two separate articulated arm pieces to a purlin in the area of an articulated arm train, these articulated pieces being fixed, for example, next to one another on a purlin in the pivoted-open position.

The articulated arms of each articulated arm train can have the same or different lengths. With the same length, the field width is the same. If, in addition, a constant obtuse angle a or acute angle β is observed, a tent roof that is particularly aesthetically pleasing is created. However, it is also possible to reduce the angle as the tent roof protrudes. The articulated arms can also have an unequal length, so that in this way, unevenly sized, mutually kinked fields are formed on the tent roof.

It is particularly advantageous if the frame is folded together with the piece of tent skin intended for the area spanned by the articulated arm pulls in a wall or on the motorhome or the like. container to be fastened can be accommodated. This container consists of a lower part and a lid-like upper part, so that the tent roof is completely protected in the retracted position. This advantage can also be used for awnings on fixed buildings.

The purlin or the purlins can expediently be provided above the articulated pieces or the ends of the articulated arms facing the articulated pieces, so that the tent roof or awning fabric rests continuously on this purlin at the same height and is thus supported in a linear manner. The purlin can be rounded off at the support point.

It when the articulated arms of each articulated arm train by the force of a is particularly advantageous mechanical or pneumatic spring are loaded against the stop in the swung-open position. This is particularly beneficial for an awning. To swing open the awning, it is then only necessary to actuate the winding roller of the awning fabric in the usual way, so that the springs provided in the articulated arms automatically tension the articulated arm pulls. The stops in the joints of the articulated arm pulls are expediently arranged in such a way that a dead center position is avoided. The articulated arms are therefore still at an angle to one another in the fully pivoted-out state, so that the awning can be swung in by winding up the awning fabric. A dead center position would make this winding of the awning fabric impossible. In this way, after swiveling out, it is possible to wind up the awning fabric again in the opposite direction of rotation of the winding roller, the stops being relieved of the force of the springs and the awning fabric itself having to absorb the counterforce to the springs in the articulated arms. As a result, the awning cover is excellently tightened.

The frame can have a clamping rail or a winding roller parallel to the continuous purlin, the piece of the tent skin, awning fabric or the like intended for the roof being anchored spanning the continuous purlin on the clamping rail or the winding roller and on the eaves purlin. The continuous purlin is in each case spanned at an angle in a gable-like manner and thus arranged above the plane determined by the clamping rail and the eaves purlin, so that the gable effect already described, with all its advantages, results.

At both ends of the clamping rail or in the area of the winding roller and on the eaves purlin, one of the articulated arms can be articulated by means of a hinge, the articulated arms being combined in pairs on the articulated pieces arranged on the continuous purlin or the purlins. The hinge pieces are symmetrical on the respective purlin by means of a cable mounted in the purlin, a spring arrangement or the like. guided. The joint pieces can be moved on the continuous purlin in such a way that the articulated arms, which are combined in pairs on it, are stretched parallel to the continuous purlin in the folded position and perpendicular to the continuous purlin in the erected position. This means that the two articulated arms belonging to each other lie almost or exactly in a vertical plane in the erected position. Together with the continuous purlin, this results in a considerable increase in the strength and stability of the tent roof.

At the two ends of the eaves purlin a telescopically extendable and lockable leg can be provided, which can be pivoted about a joint up to parallel contact with the eaves purlin and can be fixed in this position. This means that especially in the case of an awning, the legs are also part of the frame and are brought into the container together with this or are pulled out during assembly. These joints also contribute to stiffening. The legs are therefore designed telescopically, on the one hand to compensate for differences in height of the terrain and, on the other hand, to allow the legs to be adjusted in a folded state parallel to the eaves purlin. This applies in particular to a very narrow or short tent roof; To fix the legs in the parallel folded position, an eyelet holder or several such eyelet holders can be provided on the eaves purlin.

The container can have a lid which can be pivoted about an axis arranged above the suspension of the clamping rail or the winding roller and can be fixed in the open and in the closed position. For this purpose, the container has known hinges that fix the open position so that the frame can then be pulled out of the container by one operator. It goes without saying that the closed position of the container can also be blocked, for example locked, in particular on a motorhome. Holders which can be swiveled up and down and enclose the frame and the piece of tent skin intended for the roof can be arranged in the container above the clamping rail. These holders encompass the frame with the roof skin and can be swiveled upwards into a fixing position so that the frame and the roof skin can be pushed into the container. The holders can then be folded down one after the other into the closed position, the frame and the roof skin already being held by the first folded-down holder. This is necessary because, for example, the container is attached to a motorhome at such a height that it can only be accessed with the aid of a ladder.

The essential components of the tent roof, which is designed as an awning, are a frame 1 of profile parts to be hung out and a tent skin 2, of which only the piece 3 intended for the roof is indicated in dashed lines in FIG. 1. The frame 1 has a clamping rail 4, which can also be designed as a welt rail, parallel to it a continuous purlin 5 and an eaves purlin 6, which also extends parallel to it. Articulated arms 8 and 9 are each in one plane via hinges 7, i.e. pivotable about axes defined by the hinges 7, FIG. 1 showing an intermediate position. On the continuous purlin 5 there are displaceably arranged joint pieces 10, each with two joints 11 and 12, the axes of which intersect one another. This means that the continuous purlin 5 is arranged outside, namely above the plane spanned by the clamping rail 4 and the eaves purlin 6. The hinge pieces 10 can be fixed in any intermediate position, in particular. But in the end position (FIG. 3) by means of the locking device 13. The piece 3 of the tent skin 2 is fastened on the one hand to the clamping rail and on the other hand to the eaves purlin 6 by means of a known piping connection, wherein it spans the articulated arms 8 and 9 and the continuous purlin 5.

Legs 15 are pivotably arranged parallel or perpendicular to the eaves purlin 6 via hinges 14, each consisting of two telescopically guided profile parts 16 and 17, for example by means of clamping screws 18, the profile parts 16 and 17 can be fixed in any extended position. An eyelet-shaped holder 19 on the eaves purlin 6 receives the lower ends of the profile parts 17 of the legs 15 in the folded position and secures them. In the area of the clamping rail 4, further hinges 20 are provided which define a horizontal axis of rotation or swivel axis about which the articulated arms 8 and the remaining components of the frame attached to them can be pivoted. These hinges 20 are either arranged on the clamping rail 4 or directly in the container, which is not shown in FIG. 1. As can be seen, when assembling or assembling the frame 1, it is only necessary to actuate the legs 15 and the locks 13 of the joint pieces 10. In the folded or pushed-together position, the individual parts of the frame assume the relative position shown in FIG. 2.

Fig. 3 shows the erected position of the frame, with a front wall part 21 and to the right and left of it two side wall parts 22 including a window formation are indicated. For completion, one has to imagine, for example, a container 23 with a lid 24 on the side wall of a motorhome, not shown, which can be pivoted into an open position about an axis above the clamping rail 4 and can be automatically fixed there when pivoting open, as indicated in FIG. 3 . The clamping rail 4 and the hinges 20 are arranged in a fixed manner in the lower part of the container 23, while all other parts of the frame 1 can be moved in the context of the arranged hinges and joints. Holders 25 are only indicated schematically. These holders 25 can also be fixed in the illustrated folded-up position so that the frame 1 can be pushed together with the piece 3 of the tent skin 2 and folded and in this state can be pivoted under the holder 25 into the lower part of the container 23. Subsequently, a holder 25 and then the remaining holders 25 are pivoted down so that the frame 1 around the hinges 20 can no longer be released and can fall out of the container 23. The lid 24 is then closed.

The awning is set up as follows:
  • Since the container 23 is relatively high on the motorhome, caravan or the like. is attached so that it is not accessible for normal body size, a ladder is placed at the relevant point so that the lid 24 can be opened and pivoted up into the open position shown in FIG. 3. This open position is then automatically maintained, which can be achieved with lockable hinges, gas pressure springs or something else. The brackets 25 are now pivoted up one after the other, starting with the brackets on the outside and ending with the brackets or brackets on the inside. The holders 25 remain in a swiveled-up position, similar to what has already been described with reference to the cover 24. During the swiveling up of the last holder 25, the frame 1 comes free from the lower part of the container 23 approximately in the relative position shown in FIG. 2, since it can swivel as a whole about the horizontal axis of rotation defined by the hinges 20. In this way, the operator can descend the employed ladder with these frame parts. Since the locks 13 are not blocked, the articulated arms 8 and 9 can pivot out of one another by removing the continuous purlin 5 and the eaves purlin 6, the articulated pieces 10 increasing their distance on the continuous purlin without, however, reaching their end position. The legs 15 are then released from the eyelet-shaped holder 10 and folded down into a vertical position, so that the frame 1 is already on the floor or is supported. The joint pieces 10 are then brought into their end position one after the other or, if two operators are present, at the same time, and the locking devices 13 are fixed. This end position, in which the two articulated arms 8 and 9 connected by a joint piece 10 lie in a vertical plane, is shown in FIG. 3. It can be seen very clearly here that the continuous purlin 5 forms a gable-like effect in that the piece 3 of the tent skin is automatically stretched and unclamped during this construction step. The clamping screws 18 of the legs 15 can then be loosened and the profile parts 17 pulled out according to the requirements and fixed in the respective position. The frame 1 then already has its essential stability. The front wall part 21 is suspended in the eaves purlin 6 with a piping connection. The same happens with the side wall parts 22, or the like with a piping in the articulated arms 8 and 9 and on the motorhome, caravan. be attached. Esp. the side wall parts 22 are connected to the front wall part 21 via two zippers 26. Pegs or a rod 27 connecting the two profile parts 17 of the legs 15 can be used in the floor area. The awning is now set up. Such a setup requires approximately 15 minutes with one operator. With two operators, assembly is even faster.

For example, a fastening and carrying device 29 is arranged on a house wall 28, which is only indicated schematically, and in the area of which a winding roller 30 is provided for winding up the tent skin 2 or roof skin, which is formed by the awning fabric. Only one articulated arm pull 8, 9 with the two articulated arms 8 and 9 is shown schematically in the side view. The articulated arm 8 is provided on the fastening and carrying device 29 with the articulation 7, while the articulated piece 10 is arranged between the two articulated arms 8 and 9. The joint piece 10 sits on the continuous purlin 5 and can be moved and locked thereon, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 5. The free ends of the articulated arms 9 engage on the eaves purlin 6 via hinges 7. The eaves purlin 6 has an insertion slot in which a valance 31 is suspended instead of a front wall part. In this embodiment, the articulated arms 8 and 9 must have the same length since the hinges 7 are arranged in a stationary manner. If, instead of the hinges 7 on the eaves purlin 6, joint pieces 10 are also arranged to be displaceable and lockable, the length of the joint arms 8 and 9 can also be different. In one embodiment (FIG. 10 or 11), the joint pieces 10 have two joint axes intersecting at an angle β on the joints 11 and 12, so that the gable effect from FIG. 4 can be seen particularly well. This prevents water pockets from forming. The tent skin 2 spans in mutually angled areas, which not only improves the awning from a technical point of view, but also gives it a particularly elegant appearance. It goes without saying that the eaves purlin 6 and / or the continuous purlin 5 could be supported by additional legs 15, as is illustrated in the exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 to 3.

The embodiment of FIGS. 6 and 7 is designed on the same principle. Each articulated arm train here has the four articulated arms 8, 9, 8 ', 9', a joint piece 10 with the joints 11 and 12 (FIGS. 10 and 11) or with the joint 11 '(FIG. 13) between each two adjacent articulated arms ) or with the joints 11 'and 12' (Fig. 16) is provided. As can be seen here, the articulated arms 8 are designed to be somewhat longer, while the remaining three articulated arms 9, 8 ', 9' have the same length. All joint pieces 10 are displaceable and, if necessary, lockable on the purlins 5, 5 ', 5 ". This results in a multiple kinking of the tent roof with the desired gable-like effect in multiple arrangement The projection of the awning is larger, each individual field of the tent skin 2 is more or less evenly stretched out, so that water bag formation certainly does not occur.

In such an arrangement, in which each articulated arm train consists of a plurality of articulated arms, there is, for example, the possibility, with the same length of the articulated arms, of arranging every second articulated piece 10 in a fixed position on the respective continuous purlin, while the articulated pieces 10 in between are then displaceable on the respective purlin are.

In the embodiment of FIGS. 8 and 9, three fields are formed, that is, two continuous purlins 5, 5 'are provided between the fastening and carrying device 29 and the eaves purlin 6. There is the possibility of also carrying out the articulation of the eaves purlin 6 on the articulated arms 8 via articulated pieces 10, which differ from the other articulated pieces 10 only because they must not impede the attachment of the valance 31. The articulated arms 8, 9, 8 'can have different lengths in order to aesthetically influence the appearance of the awning.

Die Fig. 10, 11, 13 und 14 zeigen Einzelheiten von Gelenkstücken 10 in verschiedenen Ausführungsformen.10, 11, 13 and 14 show details of joint pieces 10 in different embodiments.

The joint piece 10 comprises this rectangular profile of the purlin 5 'with a box-shaped profile. At the fastening point, that is, where the joint piece 10 is to be fixed, that is to say ascertained, a latching device is installed, which consists of two latching pins 32 and a spring 33 interposed therebetween. Either the continuous purlin 5 'and the box-shaped profile of the joint piece 10 have bores 34 and 35 at the top and bottom which are aligned with one another. In the aligned position, extensions 36 of the locking pins 32 extend through the bores 34 and 35 and thus lock the displaceability of the joint piece 10. To release this connection, it is only necessary to release the locking pins 32 to a certain extent against the pressure of the spring 33 Push the profile of the continuous purlin 5 in, so that the blocking is removed and the joint piece 10 is released, so that it can be moved.

On the right and left sides of the joint piece 10, the joints 11 and 12 are formed, which are arranged and designed symmetrically. The axes of the joints 11 and 12 are, for example, inclined at an angle T / 2 -ß of 5 ° to the side walls of the purlin 5, so that the tent skin 2 on the purlin 5 'is stiffened gable-like by the angle β of 10 °. The inclination of the joints 11 and 12 against each other can vary or be constant. This depends on the technical conditions and the desired shape of the awning. The articulated piece 10 has laterally bearing arms 37 and 38 which are penetrated by a bolt 39 which receives a connecting piece 40 between the bearing arms 37 and 38, onto which the profile of the articulated arm 9 or 8 'is pushed. This sliding on can be done with a snug fit. Additional mechanical connecting means between the connector 40 and the profile of the articulated arms 9 and 8 'are also possible. It should also be pointed out that the joint pieces 10 are advantageously designed to be symmetrical and continuous. However, it is also possible to assign each articulated arm its own articulated piece 10, for example a first articulated piece 10 for the articulated arm 9 and a second articulated piece 10 on the same continuous purlin 5 'for the articulated arm 8'.

Diese Konstruktion ermöglicht es, den Winkel zwischen den einzelnen Gelenkarmen 9, 8' bzw. den Winkel der Achsen der Gelenke 11 u. 12 gegeneinander in einfacher Weise zu variieren bzw. festzulegen.11 shows a second exemplary embodiment of the joint piece, which here is composed of two identically designed parts. The continuous purlin 5 'may here z. B. have tubular cross section. The one joint piece 10 also surrounds the purlin 5 'and has bearing arms 37, 38, 38' on one side only. Here, too, a bolt 39 holds a connecting piece 40 to which the articulated arm 9 is fixed with the aid of pins 41. Exactly the same joint piece 10 sits behind this previously described joint piece 10 and is only arranged such that the bearing arms 37, 38, 38 'point to the other side where the connection of the joint arm 8' takes place. The two parts are then rotated relative to one another at the desired angle about the axis 42, drilled together and held with locking pins 43. This construction enables the angle between the individual articulated arms 9, 8 'and the angle of the axes of the joints 11 u. 12 to vary or set against each other in a simple manner.

Bei dieser Ausführungsform wird das Rechteckprofil der Pfette 5' dazu ausgenutzt, um die beiden Gelenkstücke 10 verdrehsicher gegeneinander zu koppeln.FIG. 12 shows a side view of two joint pieces 10 on a common purlin 5 ', the purlin 5' having a rectangular profile similar to that in FIG. 10. Each joint piece 10 has only on one side projecting bearing arms 37 u. 38, which are not shown here, the articulated arm 9 being arranged on one side of the one articulated piece 10 and the articulated arm 8 'on the other side of the other articulated piece 10. If both joint pieces 10 can be moved independently of one another on the purlin 5 ', both must be secured in their fixing position. B. can be done in that a locking pin 35 is provided on the underside. In this embodiment, the rectangular profile of the purlin 5 'is used to couple the two joint pieces 10 against one another in a rotationally secure manner.

The joint piece 10 shown in FIG. 13 has only a single joint 11 'between the joint arms 8' and 9 thus connected. The axis 44 of the bolt 39 extends in the side view at an obtuse angle a parallel to the extension of the joint arm 8 '( and also at an obtuse angle a parallel to the extension of the articulated arm 9). The joint piece 10 here consists of two parts or two connecting pieces 40, which engage around the common bolt 39 via bearing arms 37 and 38. In this construction, the axis 44 tilts sideways away from its approximately vertical arrangement in the swung-open state when the articulated arms 8 'and 9 are swiveled together in parallel. For this reason, it is not possible to store the continuous purlin 5 'on the bolt 39 without special precautions. The continuous purlin 5 'is mounted here in the region of the articulated arm 8' on the one connector 40. Of course, the purlin 5 'could also be arranged directly in the end region of the articulated arm 8' or the articulated arm 9. For their articulation, the connection piece 40 has a pin-like extension 45, on which two ball-bearing mounted rollers 47 are freely rotatable about a transverse axis 46. These rollers 47 engage in the profile of the purlin 5 '. The profile of the purlin 5 'is rounded in the upper region, on which the awning cloth or the tent skin 2 is placed. The extension 45 can have a bore 48 through which the cable of a cable 49 is guided, which is shown schematically in FIG. 14. This cable pull 49 in the form of a cable running around the two rollers 50 and 51 is fixedly connected in the manner shown to the extensions 45 of two joint pieces 10 adjacent to the purlin 5 '. The cable 49 is arranged in the purlin 5 '. It ensures that when one joint piece 10 is displaced, the other joint piece 10 moves in a precisely symmetrical manner perpendicular to the direction in which the awning falls out according to arrow 52. In other words, with this cable pull 49, the joint pieces 10 of two joint arm pulls on a purlin 5 'are always guided at the same distance from the ends of the purlin 5'. To the required tension on the To be able to apply the cable 49, the roller 50 can be arranged to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the purlin 5 'with the aid of a set screw 53. It is understood that the extensions 45 and thus the joint pieces 10 are very close to each other in the folded position of the awning, approximately in the vicinity of the arrow 52, while in the pivoted-out position the joint pieces 10 move apart so that they each roll 50 and approach 51. Such a cable pull 49 represents a very simple and effective means of guiding the joint pieces 10 symmetrically to one another. If articulated arm pulls are used in connection with this, the articulated arms of which are loaded by a mechanical or pneumatic spring (FIG. 15), the cable pull 49 enables a fixing or locking of the articulated pieces 10 in the differently extended positions of the awning is not necessary .

The articulated arm pull 8 ', 9 partially indicated in FIG. 15 has a mechanical tension spring 54 in the articulated arm 8', which is supported at one end on the articulated arm 8 'and is connected at its other end to the one end of a wire cable 55, which is guided around the joint piece 10. The other end of the wire rope 55 can either be anchored on the hinge piece 10 or, as shown, in the hinge arm 9. The spring 54 is under prestress, so that the force of this spring 54 tends to pivot the articulated arm 9 according to arrow 56 into the open position shown in broken lines. The articulated piece 10 has stops 57 which limit the pivoting of the articulated arm 9 relative to the articulated arm 8 'according to the arrows 56 to the angle shown. The pivoting angle is less than 180 °, so that an extended dead center position between the articulated arms 9 and 8 'is avoided.

If you now imagine an awning, such as z. B. in Fig. 4 u. 5, the articulated arm cables 8, 9 of which are equipped with articulated pieces 10 according to FIG. 13, the cable 49 according to FIG. 14 also being realized and the articulated arms 8 and 9 each having a spring 54 and a wire cable 55, then it is easy to see that such an awning can only be swung out and retracted by actuating the winding roller 30. The awning cover takes over the management of the frame. Is z. B. the awning is extended from the retracted position, then the winding roller 30 is rotated accordingly, so that the awning cloth is unwound, which is anchored in the eaves purlin 6. Since the springs 54 are even more pre-tensioned in the closed state, they press the articulated arms 9 in opposite directions from the parallel position into the opened position (FIG. 4), the cable pull 49 simultaneously automatically ensuring that the two articulated pieces 10 are symmetrical Be guided along the purlin 5. When the winding roller 30 has been rotated sufficiently, the articulated arms 9 will stop at the stops 57 of the articulated arms 8, so that the eaves purlin 6 has taken its greatest distance from the winding roller 30 and the awning is fully extended. If the springs 54 are supported on the stops 57, the awning fabric is only slightly stretched. By now changing the direction of rotation of the winding roller 30, that is to say winding the awning fabric slightly, the awning fabric comes under tension and relieves the stops 57. The awning fabric must then absorb the force of the springs 54, the awning fabric being stretched out like a gable over the purlin 5. It is now also understandable that the arms 8 and 9 must not assume a dead center position, because with such a dead center position the force that can be transmitted through the awning fabric during winding would not be sufficient to leave the dead center position of the articulated arms 8 and 9.

Bei der Ausführungsform gemäss Fig. 16 die gleichsam eine Verdoppelung der Ausführungsform gemäss Fig. 13 darstellt, sind die beiden Gelenke 11' und 12' verwirklicht.FIG. 16 finally shows a further possible embodiment of the joint piece 10, in which the arrangement according to FIG. 13 is provided twice, as it were. The axes 44 of the two bolts 39 are here parallel to each other, but are again arranged at an obtuse angle to the extension of the articulated arms 8 'and 9. The extension 45 is here, for example in the form of a screw, passed through the joint piece 10 and has a hemisphere 58 with which the joint piece 10 is mounted in the profile of the purlin 5 '. The cable 49 is connected above the hemisphere 58, for example, by looping and / or knotting or in some other way to the extension 45. The use of the hemisphere 58 enables the articulation piece 10 to tilt in the retracted position, that is to say when the articulated arms 8 'and 9' are parallel to one another. Then the axis of the extension 45 can be inclined relatively in the purlin 5 ', so that there is no jamming with respect to the purlin 5'. If the purlin 5 ', as shown in the example of FIG. 13, is mounted in the region of the end of the articulated arm 8', such a tilting does not occur. In the embodiment according to FIG. 16, which represents a doubling of the embodiment according to FIG. 13, the two joints 11 'and 12' are realized.
