Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a removable insole for shoes, having a primitive plane or curved profile and deforming gradually and permanently in contact with the foot to finally adopt the profile thereof.
  • Insoles are already known, the profiles of which have been conformed to the morphology of the foot, in particular in sports shoes such as ski or mountaineering boots.
  • the soles are in particular made of a heat-deformable material and require the use of relatively expensive and bulky forming material.
  • these soles are permanently in the shoe of which they are generally an integral part.
  • removable insoles for shoes have a flat or curved primitive profile and consist of a thin sheet of plastic foam having the general shape of the foot, having density zones. different and gradually and permanently deforming on contact with the foot to finally adopt the profile.
  • the invention aims to provide a solution to the preceding problem, by proposing such a removable insole, the sheet of which has on the one hand at least over part of its edge and internally therewith a groove intended to facilitate deformation, and on the other hand a groove in an arc of a circle which does not run along the border and delimits two zones, one of which corresponds to the arch of the foot, these zones being of different densities.
  • the zones of different densities correspond to zones of different thicknesses, which are produced for example by pressing from a thin sheet.
  • the sheet comprises three distinct zones, ie a substantially central main zone and two zones corresponding on the one hand to the arch of the foot, and on the other hand to the external toes.
  • the density of these two zones is greater than that of the central zone constituting the rest of the sole.
  • the density of the central area is the same as the density of the toe area.
  • edges of the sole are bevelled.
  • the role of the different grooves is to facilitate deformation by creating lines of weakness and avoiding that, precisely as a result of the deformation, the sole does not come to make folds.
  • the sole can be made of any deformable material, preferably heat-deformable, such as polyolefin foams, in particular closed cell polyolefins.
  • deformable material preferably heat-deformable
  • examples include polyethylenes, polypropylenes, polybutylenes and polyisobutylenes.
  • the thickness of the sheet constituting the sole is of the order of 2 to 5 mm.
  • the sole may have a primitive planar profile, or already curved, so as to be pre-profiled to the general shape of a foot.
  • the sole can be placed as it is in the shoe and take the final shape by heat deformation with simple heat radiated by the feet. To ensure proper fitting and speed up the process, we generally prefer to preheat the sole before placing it in the shoe.
  • the sole is molded around the foot, outside the shoe. It is put in the shoe permanently or by remaining removable, only after having adopted its final profile, that of the foot.
  • FIG. 4 is a sectional view along the axis IV-IV of FIG. 3.
  • Zone 1 has a lower thickness, that is to say a greater density, and serves as a zone of foot support.
  • Zone 4 of slightly greater thickness, therefore of slightly less density, corresponds to the arch of the foot and is intended to follow the arch of the foot.
  • Zone 5 which is thicker and therefore less dense than zone 3, serves as a support zone for the toes, in particular for the small toes.
  • zones 4 and 5 advantageously have the same thickness, therefore the same density.
  • the central zone 3 may include, at the heel, a zone, not shown, of lesser thickness and therefore of greater density. This area is primarily intended to support the heel which receives the greatest efforts. This area can also be used to show the imprint of a brand.
  • the sole shown in Figure 1 was put, for example after preheating in the shoe of the user and the latter was invited to walk. It deformed by taking the profile of the foot and the shoe due to the nature of the material constituting it. In addition, the deformation was facilitated by the presence of grooves 6, 7 and 8, the bevels 9 and 10 contributing to better comfort. Note that this sole, as deformed, is free of folds.
  • the depth of the grooves is of the order of 15 to 50% of the thickness of the sheet 1.
  • Figure 4 shows, in section, IV-IV of Figure 3, the transverse profile obtained after the deformation.
  • the sole with a primitive profile can be molded around the foot before being put into the shoe.
