- DE-A-1 561 812 describes a stylographer, the refill cartridge of which includes a cap made of an elastic material, the end of which near the tip comprises a thinned zone. The purpose of this cap is to isolate the writing tip and the venting of the cartridge from ambient air, during the storage period.
- the thinned area of the cap is perforated by means provided for this purpose on the stylograph. Then, nothing distinguishes this cartridge, from the point of view of its operation, from a conventional cartridge and, in the rest position, the point and the vent are in direct communication with the ambient atmosphere, so that nothing prevents ink evaporation phenomena.
- DE-A-2 209 265 relates to a felt-tip cartridge pen, which has the particularity of not having a cap.

- the space between the envelope thereof and the body of the stylographer is used over the entire length of the refill cartridge to form the above-mentioned chamber. It has in fact been found that it is sometimes advantageous to be able to have a chamber of a relatively large volume, in particular to dampen certain pressure variations which may occur during use.
- the seal between the refill cartridge and the body of the stylographer is provided by a bellows. This arrangement allows a tight seal between the two parts, practically an example of friction.
- This arrangement is also advantageous in the rest position, because it makes it possible to avoid this same kind of incident when, as a result of changes in altitude (especially in the case of travel by plane, etc.), the pressure of the chamber is at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure.
- the body 1 of a stylographer is equipped with a spare ink cartridge 3 ending in a writing tip 5.
- the seal between these two parts of the cartridge and the cylindrical element 9 is ensured by two O-rings, 14 and 21.
