La présente invention a pour objet un stylo à pointe absorbante ou à bille, composé d'une cartouche d'encre déplaçable dans le corps du stylo d'une position d'utilisation à une position rétractée à l'intérieur de ce corps. comportant un dispositif de protection de la pointe en position rétractée.
On connait déjà des stylos de ce type dans lesquels le dispositif de protection de la pointe comporte des éléments de recouvrement mobiles séparés se refermant sur la pointe en position rétractée de celle-ci. Un tel dispositif est toutefois compliqué du point de vue mécanique et ne prévoit aucun moyen d'étanchéité au niveau de l'articulation des éléments mobiles pour empêcher l'évaporation par la pointe du stylo de l'encre ou liquide coloré contenu dans la cartouche, évaporation qui dans les stylos connus est telle que la cartouche devient complétement sèche en peu de temps. De plus la fermeture des éléments de recouvrement mobiles est assurée au moyen d'un dispositif élastique qui perd de son efficacité dans le temps à la suite du phénomène connu de fluage de la matiére.
Ce mode d'exécution utilise des pièces supplémentaires et nécessite une main-d'ceuvre spécialisée pour le montage de chaque joint conique élastique, ce qui augmente considérablement le coût de fabrication.
La présente invention vise à remédier à ces inconvénients et le stylo qui en fait l'objet est caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de protection de la pointe comprend une pièce formée d'au moins deux coquilles destinées à entourer la pointe en position rétractée, ces coquilles présentant des prolongements vers l'arrière par rapport à la pointe et un organe de liaison des coquilles dans la partie intermédiaire, en ce que l'extrémité des prolongements est façonnée pour coopérer avec un renflement de la cartouche qui écarte les prolongements pour fermer les coquilles lorsque la cartouche est déplacée en position rétractée, et un épaulement agissant sur une surface de came intérieure des prolongements du dispositif de protection pour ouvrir les coquilles lorsque la cartouche est déplacée en position d'utilisation,
et en ce qu'un organe d'étanchéité en une matière élastique écrasable est disposé à l'intérieur du corps du stylo entre la paroi intérieure de celui-ci et les coquilles de façon à empêcher l'évaporation, par la pointe du stylo de l'encre contenu dans la cartouche.

Le stylo représenté comporte un corps 1, une cartouche d'encre 2 avec à son extrémité une pointe absorbante 3, par exemple en poils de nylon, en feutre ou toute autre matière absorbante. On pourrait également prévoir une bille à l'extrémité de la cartouche et un dispositif de protection de la pointe désigné d'une façon générale en 4.
Ce dispositif de protection 4 comprend une pièce formée de deux coquilles 5 et 6 destinées à entourer la pointe 3 en position rétractée de la fig. 1. Ces coquilles 5 et 6 présentent des prolongements 5' et 6' respectivement vers l'arrière par rapport à la pointe 3 et un organe de liaison annulaire 7 dans la partie intermédiaire.
L'ensemble des organes 5, 6, 5', 6' et 7 est en une seule pièce en matière plastique venue de moulage, cet ensemble basculant autour de l'organe de liaison 7 formé d'un anneau.
L'extrémité des prolongements 5', 6' est façonnée pour coopérer avec un renflement 8 de la cartouche 2. Une surface de came 9 est ménagée à l'intérieur du dispositif de protection 4 et est destinée à coopérer avec un épaulement 13 de la cartouche 2. Un organe d'étanchéité 10 en une matière élastique écrasable est disposé à l'intérieur du corps 1 du stylo entre la paroi intérieure de celui-ci et les coquilles 5, 6 de façon à empecher l'évaporation, par la pointe du stylo, de l'encre contenue dans la cartouche.
Des butées 11 sont ménagées à l'intérieur du corps I du stylo pour positionner le dispositif de protection 4. Ces butées peuvent avoir la forme de bossages venus de moulage avec le corps 1 et répartis également sur la périphérie de la paroi intérieure de ce corps.
Des crans 12 sont également formés dans la paroi intérieure du corps I en arrière des butées Il pour maintenir en place l'anneau 7 du dispositif de protection 4 lorsque celui-ci est forcé élastiquement à l'intérieur du corps 1.
