Definitions
- the invention relates to an axial impeller, in particular for an axial fan according to the preamble of claim 1; such an axial impeller is known from an obvious prior use by the applicant.
- the wheel hub manufactured as a shell construction part consists of a one-piece cast construction which contains at least the end face and the outer surface and, if appropriate, also a hub core at the same time, which after casting has to be subjected to post-processing in order to avoid excessively large tolerance dimensions and then at least into the same the mounting holes for the axial wings and any other mounting holes must be drilled or milled.
- the object of the present invention is to create an axial impeller that can be produced with less manufacturing effort while avoiding a cast construction for the wheel hub and that ensures at least the same strength values.
- an axial impeller according to the invention allows a large number of different wheel hub constructions, e.g. with different radial lengths of the molded-on partial shell surfaces, which after simple removal from the sheet metal plate can be bent away into their final position with a relatively precise fit, not only for subsequent post-processing to avoid undesirable tolerance dimensions, but also for a subsequent complicated milling or drilling process can be dispensed with the introduction of mounting and mounting holes, because these holes can be easily punched beforehand in the flat contour plate. If the contour sheet is punched out of the sheet metal blank, the fastening and mounting holes can be punched out simultaneously with this punching process.
- the contour plate is removed by nibbling or laser beam cutting, the contour and thus the hub construction can be varied particularly simply by changing the control program for the cutting tool; The punching of the sheet metal and fastening holes is then carried out in a separate, but very simple, operation before bending up the jacket partial surfaces.
- a particularly good strength of the entire hub construction is achieved in the case of an axial impeller with a wheel hub with two cup-shaped half shells lying axially in front of one another in that partial shell surfaces of the one and the other half shell are connected to one another by the foot of a common axial wing; the common, on both jacket partial surfaces of the two half-shells and firmly connected to this foot of the axial wing and optionally also a joint between the end faces of the two half-shells, common hub core contributes to strength-increasing stiffening of the entire hub construction.
- FIG. 1 shows a contour plate stamped from a sheet metal blank for a half-shell of a wheel hub of an axial impeller.
- the flat contour sheet essentially consists of a hexagonal end face 21, on the circumference of which six radially projecting jacket partial faces 22-27 lying in the same plane as in end face 21 are also stamped.
- mounting holes 28, a shaft opening 29 and holes for fastening screws of a hub core as well as holes for later screwing down the feet of the axial wings are advantageously punched out in one operation in the end faces 21, shaft openings 29 and around the shaft opening.
- the fastening holes for the axial wings only the holes of the jacket partial surface 22 with reference number 221 are shown in FIG. 1; 222 provided.
- the contour sheet can advantageously be separated from a sheet metal plate by nibbling or by laser beam.
- the latter two separation methods have the particular advantage that they can be adapted to different contours and thus different hub constructions only by changing the control program for the nibbling tool or the laser beam.
- FIG. 2 shows the contour sheet according to FIG. 1 after the partial jacket surfaces 22-27 have been bent away into the plane of the jacket surface. Then, as indicated in FIG. 2, axial wings 4-9 are fastened on the foot side to the lateral surfaces 22-27 bent away to the rear by screws, of which here only the screws of the axial wings 4 and 7 are provided with reference numerals 42, 42 and 72, 72, respectively.
- FIG. 3 shows a hub composed of two partial shells 2, 3 according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, in each of which two axially aligned shell partial surfaces 22, 32 or 25, 35 each have a common axial wing 4 or 7 via screws 41, 42 or 71, 72 are connected in the partial lateral surfaces 22, 32 or 71, 72.
- the common hub core 1, which transmits the torque from the drive side to the axial impeller, is on both end faces via screws, of which only two screws 13, 14 and 11, 12 are visible and labeled in FIG. 3, with the two end faces 21 and 31 of the two partial shells 2, 3 connected.
