Description

The invention relates to a card for nonwoven fabric production from fiber material with at least one feed roller, a preliminary roller running in the same direction to this, at least one main roller running in the opposite direction to the preliminary roller and with little distortion, and worker and turner rollers interacting with it, the main roller or each main roller being a nonwoven device is connected downstream, which has a tangled roller running in the same direction as the main roller.

A card of the type described above is known from «Melliand Textilberichte 6/1969, p. 625 ff. In this device, the tangled nonwoven device consists of a tangled roller which runs in the same direction as the main roller and has as an essential element a runner group recognizable in Figure 4 of the aforementioned literature reference, the tangled nonwoven formation being caused by the combined action of the main roll, the tangled roll and the runner group. Such groups of runners have the disadvantage that experience has shown that the production speed of generic cards is noticeably reduced. This effect is based on the fact that the relative speed between the main roller and the tangling roller on the carding line cannot be increased to the extent desired for a high production speed, since the rotor group would then act like a brake and would result in inferior pile quality.

In order to achieve higher production speeds, it is already known to use the so-called upsetting technique in random webs, with special upsetting rollers being attached to the exit of the cards which, when upsetting the pile while at the same time increasing the weight, reorient the fibers. However, the result of this upsetting process is not always satisfactory, especially not with regard to the desired longitudinal and transverse strength, which should be 1: 1 if possible.

The invention has for its object to achieve a good carding effect while avoiding the above-described disadvantages of the alternatively experimentally developed upsetting technology with a card of the generic type and to further improve the uniformity and the transverse strength of the nonwoven fabric that is to be produced, wherein higher production speeds can be achieved should be.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the random web device consists exclusively of the random roll running with a delay in the range between 1 and 2, based on the main roll; that a draft in the range between 100 and 200 is provided between the feed roller and the preliminary roller; and that there is a delay in the range between 1 and 2 between the roughing roll and the main roll.

Besonders bevorzugte Ausführungsformen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Particularly preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

The warping between the feed roller and the roughing roll can be between 100 and 200, a value of about 150 is preferred. The warping between the roughing roll and the first main roll or main rolls and the random roll (s), on the other hand, is between 1 and 2, the range from about 1.1 is preferred.

In one embodiment, the worker rolls are arranged in front of the associated turner rolls. Worker and turner rollers can in particular have an equally large diameter.

The invention is based on the surprising finding that it is possible to achieve the above-mentioned object perfectly if the rotor group of the tangled nonwoven device or the upsetting device previously regarded as indispensable in the professional world is omitted. The carding machine according to the invention enables the production of a high quality pile with a disoriented fiber structure, for example with a pile weight of 22 to 24 g / m 2 at a production speed of at least 100 m / min. can be worked, corresponding approximately to a tripling of the production speed compared to the generic card.

The invention is explained below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawing. It shows :
  • Figure 1 is a schematic representation of the arrangement of the rollers in a first embodiment; and
  • Figure 2 is an illustration of a second embodiment with only one take-off roller.

Fig. 1 illustrates how the fiber material (dash-dot line) in a feed trough 10 under the feed roller 1, which is provided with radially standing hooks, is fed to the roughing roller 2. The roughing roller 2 is equipped with a sawtooth set inclined in the direction of rotation, it rotates in the opposite direction to the feed roller 1. The fiber material is fed to the first main roller 3, which runs in the opposite direction to the preliminary roller 2 and is equipped with a sawtooth set oriented in the direction of rotation. The fiber material is then conveyed on the circumference of the first main roller 3 to the worker roller 4, which runs in the opposite direction to the first main roller 3 and is provided with a saw tooth set directed against its direction of rotation. The fiber material is then taken over by a turner roller 5 which runs in the opposite direction to the worker roller 4 and is equipped with a sawtooth set directed in the opposite direction. From this turning roller 5, the fiber material is fed again from the first main roller 3 to a another pair of worker and turning rollers 6, 7 causes a new carding and retransfer. The fiber material is then transferred from the first main roller 3 to a first tangling roller 8, which runs in the same direction as the first main roller 3 and is provided with a saw tooth set directed in the direction of rotation. From this first random roller 8, the fiber material is then fed to a second primary roller 9 corresponding to the first main roller 3, which in the exemplary embodiment interacts with only one pair of worker turning rollers 10, 11 and then transfers the fiber material to a second random roller 12 corresponding to the first random roller 8. From this second random roller 12, the material is fed to an upper and a lower take-off roller 13, 18, which run in opposite directions to the second random roller 12 and are equipped with a sawtooth set directed against their direction of rotation. The fleece is finally led out of the card via three-roller deductions 16, 21. In the embodiment of FIG. 2, only one take-off roller 18 and a three-roller take-off 21 are provided.

The arrangement of the rollers according to the invention makes it possible to work between the preliminary roller 2 and the feed roller 1 with a relatively high distortion - in the exemplary embodiment it is 150. Tests have shown that the fiber material can be dissolved gently with such a high distortion. Due to the relatively high rotational speed of the pre-roll 2, the distortion between the main rolls 3, 9 and the tangling rolls 8, 12 can be kept low, namely only slightly above 1 in the region. Such a small warp causes a gentle transfer of the fiber material from roll to roll. Despite the only slight speed differences between the main (3, 9) and random rolls (8, 12), a good carding effect is achieved by running adjacent rolls in opposite directions. The counter-rotation of adjacent rollers in particular has the effect that a high transverse strength of the nonwoven to be produced is achieved.

The connection of the associated worker roller 4, 6, 10 compared to the associated turner roller 5, 7, 11 and the same size diameter of both rollers cause the fibers to remain in the vicinity of the main roller 3, 9 and thus a relatively low fiber fly above worker and Turner rollers occur. In the drawing it is further illustrated with a broken line how insufficiently carded material is fed back from the tangling roller 12 via the second main roller 9 and the first tangling roller 8 to the first main roller 3, so that this material is again carded between the main rollers and the worker rollers and can be carried in the direction of the river.

It is understood that in the arrangement according to the invention the distance between the rollers can be adjusted in each case.
