Claims (15)

1. Distributing connector possessing a carrier body (1) which is configured to enable a plug-in connection to be made with a multiple plug-type connector (36), and possessing a conductor-connection block which is fastened to the carrier body (1) by means which enable it to snap-lock to this body, the said connection block being composed of plate-shaped insulating segments (2) which are stacked together, contact elements (7) and/or conductor-connection devices (15) being received and retained inside chamber-shaped recesses (13, 14, 16) in these insulating segments (2), these recesses being separated one from another, characterized in that in additional chamber-shaped aperture (17) is provided beside the conductor-connection chambers (16) of each insulating segment (2), into which aperture (17) there projects a pin-shaped or blade-like lug (18) belonging to the conductor-connection device (15) in question.
2. Distributing connector according to Claim 1, characterized in that each insulating segment (2) is configured to receive two contact elements (7), and conductor-connection devices (15), the said elements being electrically insulated from each other, in that a chamber-shaped aperture (17) is provided between the conductor-connection devices (15), and in that pin-shaped or blade-like lugs (18), belonging to each conductor-connection device (15), project into the chamber-shaped aperture (17).
3. Distributing connector according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that a transverse potential- connection track (21) is provided, passing through all the segments (2) and projecting into the chamber-shaped aperture (17) at its rear surface.
4. Distributing connector according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that additional modules (33), such as, for example, LED indicator modules, are provided in the chamber- 'shaped aperture (17), these additional modules (33) lending themselves to insertion in a manner such that they lock positively into place, and in that these additional modules are furnished with contact means (34, 34a) that enter into connection with the contact parts (18) which project into the aperture, or with the potential track (21), depending on the particular application, doing so in a manner such that electrical contact is established.
5. Distributing connector according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that shortened outer segments (22, 22') are provided, possessing chamber-shaped recesses which receive the conductor-connection devices (24, 31) for an earthing conductor or a potential connection, depending on the particular application, and in that lateral, angle-section retaining brackets (26) can be fastened to the carrier body by means of screws, and can also be screw-fastened, in their upper region, to a spacer bar (29) which is fitted into a corresponding recess (28) in the insulating segments (2).
6. Distributing connector according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the conductor-connection apertures (16), and the apertures (17) for the additional modules (33) which are to be inserted if the particular application so 'requires, are disposed at an angle of approximately 45° to the plane normal to which the plugging-in movement takes place or, rather, at approximately 45° to the mounting plane, thus ensuring that the additional modules (33) are readily visible even after the distributing connector has been completely wired, or that the contact parts (18) which project into the apertures likewise remain readily accessible after the connector has been completely wired, as the case may be.
7. Distributing connector according to one or more of Claims 1 to 6, the contact elements which are fitted into the insulating segments being furnished, at their ends which extend into the conductor-connection apertures, with devices for making connections to electrical conductors in a manner permitting subsequent detachment, namely devices such as push-in tabs, screw terminals, or the like, the contact elements being configured as pin or socket contacts at their ends which point towards the carrier body, these contacts projecting into corresponding guide orifices in the said body, while the opposite side of this body is configured for receiving a multipole plug-type connector of a commercially available pattern, characterized in that the modular conductor-connection block and the carrier body (1) are furnished with a mounting frame (11) which, if appropriate, is furnished with locking arrangements (12) for the plug-in connector, this mounting frame (11) lending itself to being fastened, by means of screws, to a wall belonging to an item of equipment, once an opening has been made in the said wall, this installation operation being accomplished in a manner such that the plug-type device is located on one side of the wall, while the conductor-connection devices or test devices, as the case may be, are situated on its other side.
8. Distributing connector according to Claim 7, possessing a multipole plug-type connection on one side, and single-conductor connections on the other, this distributing connector being intended for installation in mounting frames which can be inserted into openings in walls or casings, as particular applications require, the plug connection region pointing towards one side of the wall and the single-conductor connection region pointing towards its other side, while the conductor-connection block is furnished with lateral, angle-section retaining brackets which can be fastened to supporting shoulders in the mounting frame, characterized in that the unit comprising the conductor-connection block and the carrier body (1') is inserted into the mounting frame (11') from the side facing away from the plug side, in that the supporting tongues (38) of the angle-section retaining brackets (26') are furnished with tapped holes (39) in the region of the supporting shoulders (44) of the mounting frame, and in that the said brackets (26'), and consequently the entire distributing connector (37), are fastened to the said frame via screws (47) which can be turned from the plug side, this means of fastening permitting subsequent detachment.
9. Distributing connector according to Claim 8, characterized in that the angle-section retaining brackets (26') on the single-conductor connection side of the conductor-connection block are designed to be of the same length as the said block, these retaining brackets (26') being furnished, in the end region, with a screw- fastening which is arranged in a manner such that they are pulled towards each other by means of screws which are passed through screw-fastening openings (41), on the one hand, and by means of a spacer bar (29), on the other hand, this bar (29) extending transversely through the upper region of the conductor-connection block, which is concurrently clamped between the said retaining brackets (26').
10. Distributing connector according to Claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the angle-section retaining brackets (26') are composed of a material which conduct electricity, and are furnished with a prolongation (42) which projects into the plug region and makes electrical contact with the complementary plug during the plugging-together movement, and in that a screw- connection (40) for attaching a conductor is provided in the opposite end region of at least one of the two angle-section retaining brackets.
11. Distributing connector according to one of Claims 8 to 10, characterized in that at least one of the two angle-section retaining brackets is furnished with push-in connection tabs (48), in the region of the single-conductor connections (24).
12. Distributing connector according to Claim 11, characterized in that the push-in connection tabs (48) are shaped as integral portions of the piece of material forming the parent angle-section retaining bracket (26'), in that they are punched from the said bracket material, on three sides, and are then bent out laterally, to an angle of approximately 30°.
13. Distributing connector according to Claim 11, characterized in that the push-in connection tabs (48) are welded to the side surface of the angle-section retaining bracket in question.
14. Distributing connector according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the supporting shoulders (10, 44) in the mounting frame (11,. 11') are formed by protrusions (45) which are moulded integrally onto the flanged housind, and in that through holes are provided in these moulded-on protrusions, each hole having a constriction in its mid-region and each constriction being furnished with a screw thread (46).
15. Distributing connector according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that shorter, side-fitted outer segments (22, 22') are provided on the conductor-connection block, these outer segments being configured in essentially the same manner as the other segments (2) making up the said block, but containing no contact parts pointing towards the complementary multipole plug, one of the outer segments (22') being furnished with a single-conductor connection device for the purpose of connecting an earthing conductor, while the other outer segment (22) is furnished with a single-conductor connection device for the potential connection which has to be provided if the application so requires, and in that the potential track (21) projects into a recess (17') for an additional module, a connecting plug (53) with a short- circuiting bridge being used as such a module, so that the potential track is connected to the push-in conductor-connector (55) when the said connecting plug (53) is inserted into the outer segment (22).
