Description

The invention relates to a carrying strap for a container provided with a lid, consisting of a semi-rigid material which can be bent in the longitudinal direction and a closure piece for securing the lid of the container against unintentional opening thereof.

Numerous powder or liquid products are sold in containers with carrying straps and an easily openable lid. If the lid is opened unintentionally, there is not only the risk that the contents of the container are accidentally spilled, but above all that children remove the lid from the container and thereby get to the contents that are not intended for consumption and are often harmful or even caustic works.

In the known containers, such as those used for washing powder, washing-up liquid and the like, the carrying strap is riveted at both ends on opposite sides of the container wall and the lid is easily removable.

Da dabei auch das Halteband lockerer wird, kann der Behälterdeckel gelöst und abgenommen werden.GB-A-271 275 describes a container whose carrying strap attached at opposite points of the upper container edge is combined with a metal holding strap for the container lid. Before being fastened to the edge of the container, the carrying strap is inserted through a hole at each end of the holding strap, such that the latter comes to rest between the sheet of the carrying strap that spans the top of the container and the top of the container. After the container opening is closed with the container lid, the retaining strap is pushed down at its opposite ends along the carrying strap and pressed firmly against the container lid. The lanyard is then pivoted around its opposite fastening points and pressed down. As long as the lanyard is in this position, the container lid cannot be removed. However, the lanyard can be pivoted into the working position at any time without effort or difficulty. Since the tether is also loosened, the container lid can be loosened and removed.

From CH-A-537 844 a tension band made of flexible material is known, which serves to surround a bundle in the form of a loop in an adjustable and self-locking manner. The tensioning band consists of a strip, one side of which is provided with a plurality of sawtooth-shaped strip teeth which are spaced apart in the longitudinal direction and extend in the transverse direction. A tensioning head is provided at one end of the strip, the walls of which include an opening for a passage of the strip. A locking claw protrudes into the opening, into which corresponding strip teeth of the strip engage when the strap is tensioned, whereby an optimal engagement of the closing parts is achieved. In this way, bundles are held firmly together and the locked position is maintained very intensively by an upward force on the strip, for example when the bundle is carried by holding on to the strip.

A further embodiment in which a container lid is secured by a holder is known from US-A-4 067 493. Here the lid is secured by a retaining bracket, which consists of a relatively short elastic retaining strap stretched over the lid and a relatively long, non-elastic bracket. Retaining strap and strap are firmly connected to each other and held by a T-shaped closure piece attached to the ends of the strap and strap at the container edge. The locking pieces are inserted through an elongated hole at opposite points on the container wall and prevented from slipping out of the elongated holes by rotating the T-bar. However, such a closure does not provide any special security, since the T-shaped closure pieces can also be rotated by pivoting the retaining bracket and can slide out of the elongated holes.

The object of the invention is to provide a lanyard that can be stretched tightly over a top of the lid of a container by a closure piece and is held in this position and only released the lanyard from the position holding the lid by intentional and known actuation of the closure piece and the lid is released.

This object is achieved by a carrying strap of the type mentioned in that it is provided with a toothing or corrugation at one end piece, this end piece is inserted through a sleeve-shaped closure piece fastened to the wall of the container and is longitudinally displaceable therein, on which the toothing or corrugation at least one latching element cooperating with the toothing or corrugation is provided on the inside of the closure piece facing the carrying strap, to which a trigger for releasing from the engagement in the toothing or corrugation is assigned.

Zweckmässige Ausführungsformen sind in den Unteransprüchen gekennzeichnet.Appropriate embodiments are characterized in the subclaims.

A carrying strap with such a closure piece can be pulled down at the end provided with the toothing or corrugation and placed firmly on the top of the lid of the container and tensioned. The latching element engages in the toothing or corrugation on the carrying strap and locks it in the holding position for the lid, so that it cannot be removed. Only when the trigger is actuated is the strap released or unlocked and can be in its working position, be it to fold it sideways when filling the container or when removing the product from the Container or in the carrying position, so that the lid is released. To unlock and pull up the lanyard, two hands are always required, namely one to actuate the trigger or the trigger of the closure piece and one to pull up the lanyard. Since the container also has to be pressed down from above to counteract the upward pull on the carrying strap, it is practically impossible for a child to release the carrying strap from the catch and pull it up. This ensures child-proof and flawless retention of the lid on the container.

The container B is closed with a lid D, the side wall of which extends over a stepped edge section of the container B and lies flush with the container wall. The carrying strap 1 consists of a semi-rigid material which can be bent in the longitudinal direction, for example of plastic. An end piece 1a of this carrying strap 1 is provided with corrugation or toothing 2 in the embodiment shown on its side facing the container B. The other end 1 b of the carrying strap 1 is fastened to the wall of the container B in a manner known per se and rotatable about the fastening point P.

With the toothing or corrugation 2, a closure piece V works together, which is attached radially opposite the attachment of the end 1 of the carrying strap 1 to the wall of the container B. The closure piece V consists of a flat sleeve 5, preferably made of a flexible plastic, whose wall facing the container wall is expediently extended. This extension 5 1 of the sleeve wall 5 a is conveniently riveted to the container wall and rotatable about the attachment point P 1 . At least one locking member is provided in the interior of the sleeve 5, which interacts with the toothing 2 on the carrying strap 1. The lanyard 1 is inserted through the sleeve 5 and is longitudinally displaceable in this. The latching member is preferably a spring member 6 which is pivotable about a pivot point 7 and is released from the latching by pressing a trigger.

In the embodiment shown (FIGS. 1 and 5), the end piece 1a of the carrying strap 1 is inserted through the sleeve 5 of the closure piece V such that the toothing 2 faces the wall of the container B. The spring member 6 serving to lock the carrying strap 1 is formed on the wall 5a of the sleeve 5 facing the container wall and the fulcrum 7 is formed by a recess at the shoulder of the spring member 6 on the sleeve wall 5a. In the relaxed state, the free end 6 'of the spring member 6 projects into the interior of the sleeve 5 and engages in a tooth gap in the toothing 2 on the end piece 1a of the carrying strap 1 (FIG. 5).

An externally accessible but inconspicuous trigger is assigned to the spring element. It can be designed, for example, as a pushbutton 9 and inserted in a recess 9a of the sleeve 5 2 (FIG. 3a). A preferred embodiment of the closure piece is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. The rear wall 5a of the flat sleeve 5 has a T-shape and on the lower edge of the crossbeam 5 'of the T-shape is on both sides of the longitudinal bar 5 ", but is free of this , a spring member 6 is formed and connected to the rear wall 5a of the sleeve 5 by a thin web 6a, which creates the recess for the pivot point 7 of the spring member 6.

A trigger in the form of a tab 8 is formed on the side edges of the two spring elements 6 of the sleeve 5 facing away from one another. These tabs 8 project outwards on both sides of the sleeve 5, so that they are accessible from the outside. Due to the internal tension of the spring members 6, the tabs 8 of the triggers are pressed forward when the spring members 6 are in the locked position in the relaxed state (FIG. 5). To unlock the spring members 6, the tabs 8 are pressed inward, as a result of which the spring members 6 are then released from engagement with the toothing 2 on the carrying strap 1 and this can be pulled upwards.

The latching and triggering device can also be designed in a different way. Thus, a continuous spring member (not shown) can be articulated on the lower edge of the crossbar 5 'of the flat sleeve 5, which connects the two mutually facing end edges of the two tabs 8 serving as triggers. Due to the flexibility of the material from which the latching and triggering device is made, the latching can only be released by simultaneously pressing both tabs 8.

The toothing or corrugation (2) on the end piece 1a of the carrying strap 1 can be carried out in various ways. So it can run across the entire width of the lanyard, or only be arranged in the middle of each along the two side edges of the lanyard. The latching element and the associated trigger are adapted to the arrangement of the toothing. The closure piece can also be provided at both ends of the lanyard.

The toothing or corrugation (2) on the end piece 1a of the carrying strap 1 is designed so that the locking member in the sleeve 5 of the closure piece V blocks the carrying strap 1 against being pulled up and thereby releasing the cover D. In contrast, the end piece 1a and thus the carrying strap 1 can be pulled relatively easily in the opposite direction, that is to say into a position pressing the cover D against the container B.

In order to prevent inadvertent pulling out of the carrying strap 1 from the closure piece V, the toothed end 3 of the carrying strap 1 is widened and forms a stop relative to the sleeve 5 of the closure piece V. In this widening, a grip hole 4 is expediently provided, which the handling of the lanyard 1 when pulling down and putting on the top of the lid D of the container B facilitated. When the lanyard 1 is pulled upwards, the widened end 3 of the lanyard 1 abuts the lower edge of the sleeve 5 of the closure piece V and prevents the lanyard from moving upward further.
