Da die Querschneidmesser durch ihre Nähe zu der beheizten Schweissleiste ebenfalls beheizt sind, kann es bei einem Schneiden von mehrlagigen Folien, beispielsweise einer Schlauchbahn, zu einem Verblocken der Folienbahnen an der Schnittfläche kommen, was insbesondere unerwünscht ist, wenn durch den Schnitt die Öffnungsränder eines Beutels gebildet werden sollen. Aus der in Fig. 3 gezeigten Lage fahren die einzelnen Elemente sodann wieder in die in Fig. 1 dargestellte Lage zurück, so dass von den Vorzugsrollen 1, 2 die Bahn 3 um eine weitere Abschnittlänge, ggf. unter Zuhilfenahme von Blasluftdüsen, vorgezogen werden kann. Sobald genügend Beutel gestapelt worden sind, fährt das Gegenlager 5 nach unten, wobei sich die Nadeln 12 aus dem Beutelstapel herausziehen. Claims (4)

1. Apparatus for cross-cutting continuous tubing of synthetic thermoplastics in the manufacture of bags and for stacking the bags, comprising a pair of feed rollers (1) for intermittently feeding the continuous tubing by one section length, a heated cross-cutting knife (10), which is parallel to a transverse welding device (11), and has a backpressure bar (8) associated with is, and a pressure bar, which descends onto the separated bag or bags, characterized in that two pressure bars (4, 6) are provided, which are parallel to each other and adapted to be lowered to the separated section (18) or sections (18) and to be lifted, that end of the tubing which has been advanced between the cutting knife (10) and the backpressure bar (8) is clamped against a backing (5) by that of said pressure bars which leads in the feeding direction to fix said end in a plane which is below the backpressure bar (8), the tubing (3) that is clamped between the pair of feed rollers (1, 2) and the leading pressure bar (4) is tensioned by the pressure bar (6) which is disposed between the cutting knife (10) and the leading pressure bar (4) before the heated cutting knife severs the web, a row of needles (12) are mounted on a carrier (5) below the pressure bar (6) which tensions the tubing (3), and the pressure bar (6), which is provided with corresponding recesses or holes, needles the section edges onto the row of needles after the serving cut.
2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that a necked-in portion (14) is provided under the backpressure bar (8) of the cutting knife (10) to permit the section edges to be deposited without being upset.
3. Apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the backpressure bar (8) is provided with a groove (7) for receiving the cutting knife (10).
4. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the needle carrier (5) is adapted to be lowered and the needles (12) extend through a supporting bar (13), which is connected to the backpressure bar (8).
