Description

The present invention relates to a magazine for firearms according to the preamble of independent patent claim 1.

Such magazines are known and are described, for example, in CH-A-481 361 and in CH-A-500 462. Because, in particular, combat ammunition with high bullet exit velocity has cartridge cases whose diameter at the bottom of the cartridge case is larger than that of the opening closed by the projectile, difficulties arise when the magazines are to be enlarged to a certain extent in order to accommodate a larger number of cartridges.

Due to the different diameters, the magazine box is curved, so that the projectile tips point at least approximately towards a common point. The number of cartridges could be increased by stacking in two rows, so that the magazines can now usually hold 30 cartridges.

As the automatic precision weapons are used more and more instead of the former rapid-fire machine guns, the disadvantage of this relatively low limited number of cartridges per magazine is evident. In order to increase the number of cartridges available, it has become known to temporarily connect two magazines by means of wire or adhesive tape. To change the magazine, the shooter had to turn over the two magazines linked in this way after removing the empty magazine and he again had a full magazine on hand.

Turning through 180 ° was disadvantageous in that it had to be done with one hand, causing the magazines to fall on the floor and get dirty.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a magazine which can be easily coupled to a second magazine and the shooter can easily change the magazine with one hand.

According to the invention this is achieved by the features in the characterizing part of independent claim 1.

  • Fig. 2 einen Seitenriss eines Magazins nach Fig. 2,
An embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 is an elevation of a magazine with a capacity of up to 30 cartridges,
  • 2 shows a side elevation of a magazine according to FIG. 2,
  • Fig. 3 is an elevation of two magazines slightly twisted against each other to illustrate the coupling and separation, and
  • Fig. 4 is a side view of three coupled magazines, the middle of which is inserted into the magazine receiving opening of a rifle and a magazine is shown half decoupled.

The magazine according to the invention is based on the known magazines for automatic weapons, in particular handguns. Such a magazine 10 for e.g. thirty cartridges have a base plate 11 as the lower closure of the magazine box 12, on which a feed spring, which cannot be seen in this illustration, is supported and presses against the feeder 13. The feeder 13 has a raised section 14 and a lower section 15, such that two cartridges can be slightly offset in height, thereby preventing a loading disturbance that could otherwise occur if the rifle lock has the bases of two cartridges at the same time would face each other.

The housing 12 has two side walls 16, 17, a front wall 18 and a rear wall 19. The two side walls are each provided with a longitudinally curved bead 20 for lateral guidance of the cartridge column and the feeder 13 and a third guide for the feeder 13 forms an outwardly curved bead 21 along the rear wall 19. The side walls 16, 17 each have an upper, inwardly curved edge portion 22, 23, while the front wall 18 has a locking lug 24 in its upper part and the rear wall 19 has a stop bar 25. These parts are used to insert the magazine 10 into the receiving opening of the weapon.

The front wall 18 and the rear wall 19 are curved in the area between the base plate 11 and the locking lug 24 or the stop beam 25, the front wall 18 having a concave curvature and the rear wall 19 having a convex curvature. With this design, the thirty custom cartridges tapering towards the front can be accommodated.

According to the invention, there are now holding means 30, 31, 32, 33 on such a magazine for releasably connecting two magazine boxes 12, 12 'and spacers 34, 35, 36 37 in order to keep the connected magazine boxes 12, 12' at a distance.

The holding means are two female coupling parts 30, 31 on one side wall 16 and two male coupling parts 32, 33 on the other side wall 17. The female coupling parts 30, 31 are tabs 42 with a slot recess 40 and which are arranged at a distance from the surface of the side wall 16 the male coupling parts 32, 33 are designed as round, mushroom-shaped pins with a pin part 50 and a head part 51. Because the head part 51 of the male coupling parts 32, 33 has a larger diameter than the pin part 50, the male coupling part can engage under the slot recess 40. In addition, the slot recess 40 is shaped like a keyhole, so that a constriction 41 is formed; this requires a certain amount of force to snap the two coupling parts together.

The tabs 42 can be viewed as U-shaped strips, of which the free ends of the legs are integrally connected to the side wall. If dirt should get under the flap with such a shape, it can be pushed out by connecting two magazines, as far as it is necessary for the correct functioning.

The central axes A, B of the slot recesses 40 in the tabs are arranged so as to be twisted against one another and intersect at an angle in the range 80 ° -100 °. As a result, the coupling and the releasing must be carried out with two movements each. In Fig. 3 the movements of the two magazines 10, 10 'are shown with arrows 1, 2 for coupling and with arrows I, II for releasing. Accordingly, the two upper coupling parts 31, 33 'must first be combined by a displacement in the longitudinal direction of the magazine and then the two lower coupling parts 30, 32' must be combined with the upper coupling parts 31, 33 'as a fulcrum by means of a rotary movement.

To release the front magazine 10 'must be rotated relative to the rear magazine 10 in the direction of arrow 11 and then moved in the direction of the arrow.

These ribs run at least approximately in the radial direction with respect to the curvature of the front and rear walls 18, 19. The height of two ribs arranged on the two magazine boxes 12, 12 'together, for example the ribs 35 ", 37 and 35, 37' 4 must be such that the walls 60 of the breech housing of a rifle 61, which is indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 4, can reach into the gap between two magazine boxes. In order for the coupling parts and spacers to work together smoothly, the ribs must 35 - 37 are less high than the pins 32, 33, but they must be higher than the tabs 30, 31.

As shown in FIG. 4, the magazines 10 'and 10 "can be removed or attached on both sides of the magazine 10 used in the rifle 12, which here is due to the magazine rotated in view from behind by the same angle of rotation as in FIG. 3 relative to the magazine 10 10 'is made clear.

The magazine 10 is made of a plastic, such as a polymer or an elastomer, which has a certain elasticity, as a result of which the snap connections can be integrally connected to the walls.
