Definitions
- the invention relates to a Hawaii trapezoidal holding device with hooks for hanging a surfer on a trapezoidal rope, the surfer being fastened to the holding device by means of a cross belt and the belt.
- Belt aids of this type essentially consist of a cross belt that can be fastened around the upper body, usually with a padded back part. Approximately at the diaphragm height of the bank, a square-cut hook plate is threaded on the attached cross belt, in the hook of which a ribbon attached to the boom can be hung.
- the harness is known as the “Hawaii harness” (see “Windsurfing Magazine”, Delius-Klasing-Verlag, Bielefeld-Munich, August 8/1981, pp. 28 to 34).
- a conventional Hawaii harness with hook plate has the disadvantage that considerable pressure is exerted on the chest when surfing. This pressure can in some cases, e.g. with very strong wind or with a sudden gust of wind become so big that the belt is not only perceived as uncomfortable, but also causes pain and even shortness of breath. The reason for this is on the one hand the mostly poorly padded short back part, on the other hand the insufficient pressure distribution in the area of the flexible cross belt on the front side of the breast body of the user, which causes a relatively large side pressure force to the left and right in the pelvic region with a central hook pull.
- camisole In order to counter this disadvantage, various manufacturers have tried to improve the "camisole” and belt arrangement.
- the state of the art knows well-padded, shell-like, elongated, stiff back parts of camisole in a wide variety of configurations (for example according to EP-A-0 043 107) and multi-belt arrangements with e.g. two shoulder straps and additional cross, diagonal and / or crotch straps for better pressure distribution.
- Lateral stiffening rods are also known, which are embedded in the camisole.
- an essentially rigid spreader bar is provided on the front of the surfer, which has a length corresponding approximately to the width of the surfer's chest and supports a transverse belt attached to the surfer's torso transversely to the body axis.
- the hook on the spreader rail is advantageously attached centrally.
- the hook plate can be connected to the expansion rail by means of countersunk screws.
- a particularly stable arrangement is provided if, in an alternative embodiment, the hook plate is firmly connected to the expansion rail by means of hollow rivets.
- a receiving slot is expediently formed between the hook plate and the spreading rail, through which a cross belt guided around the upper body of a surfer can be inserted.
- the spreader rail can preferably have a cross belt guide practically over its entire length, so that a tensioned cross belt lying on it cannot slip sideways.
- the cross belt guide is in particular an integrated recess formed in the spreading rail.
- the spreader rail can contain further slots, in particular an upper and / or a lower slot for receiving a shoulder, oblique and / or crotch strap.
- a particularly preferred development of the invention provides that the spreader rail is slightly convex over its entire length with respect to the hook side.
- the convex shape corresponds essentially to the chest curvature and therefore enables a comfortable fit.
- a simple, inexpensive series production is provided if the spreader rail is an injection molded plastic part.
- the hook and hook plate are advantageously made of metal (e.g. stainless steel).
- the invention accordingly provides, with incredibly simple means, an expansion aid for a flexible cross belt which is placed around the upper body of a surfer and is under tensile stress on the front.
- the spreading aid with a clear longitudinal extension corresponding to the width of a surfer's chest prevents lateral pressure from being exerted on the upper body. This increases the comfort of the holding device. The risk of injury to a user is also advantageously reduced.
- the device is light in weight, handy and allows optimal freedom of movement. Multi-belt arrangements according to the prior art are dispensable, just as stiff, large counter-cushion shells on the back can be dispensed with.
- the spreader rail When the hook is attached, rigidly or movably attached to the spreader rail, the spreader rail normally lies in a be Quemen fit on the front of the rib cage, whereby due to the central attachment of the hook to the rail, a lateral tilting of the rail in relation to the upper body of the surfer is practically impossible.
- the holding device can be fastened in two positions (hook opening below, hook opening above), is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and is an advantageous additional device for a Hawaii trapezoid. It then serves as a trapezoidal fitting in which the trapezoidal belt is guided. The traction exerted by the sail on the trapezoidal rope on the trapezoidal fitting is transmitted to the (mostly padded) back part of the trapezoidal belt without any lateral pressure.
- reference numeral 2 denotes a section through the upper body of a surfer who has put on the holding device 1 according to the invention.
- the holding device 1 is shown in greater detail in Fig. 2 and consists essentially of a metal flat hook plate 5, a metal hook 4 attached to the hook plate 5 with a lateral hook opening and an elongated little flexible spreader bar 10.
- the hook plate 5 is by means of countersunk screws 12 and countersunk locknuts attached centrally to the expansion rail 10, which is an injection molded plastic part.
- the spreading rail 10 has a longitudinal extension corresponding to the width of a surfer's chest (e.g. 300 mm) and has a total width of approximately 110 mm.
- a cross belt guide 14 in the form of an integrated recess is embedded, a raised peripheral edge 15 being formed according to FIG. 2.
- the width of the cross belt guide 14 corresponds approximately to the width of an average belt (approx. 50 mm).
- elongated passages through the expansion rail 10 are provided in the two lateral end regions of the cross belt guide 14. These passages form lateral slots 7 through which a cross belt 11 received in the cross belt guide 14 can be guided laterally through the spreader rail in order to reach the rear of the upper body 2 from there, as shown in FIG. 1.
- the back of the cross belt 11 has an integrated padded back part 6, which is adapted to the back of a surfer.
- the width of the slots 7 is approximately 4 mm.
- an upper slot 8 and a lower slot 9 in the area of the hook plate 5 are formed on the raised part 15 of the expansion rail 10, which slot can be used to hold and guide shoulder straps and a crotch strap.
- the hook plate 5 is mounted on the raised peripheral edge 15 by means of the screws 12, so that through the depression of the cross belt guide 14 a passage is formed in the longitudinal direction between the hook plate 5 and the spreading rail 10 in order to receive a solid cross belt 11.
- the length of the spreader bar 10 is selected in accordance with the breast body width of the surfer according to FIG. 1, and the spreader bar 10 is convexly shaped with respect to the hook side, corresponding approximately to the chest curvature.
- FIG. 3 In comparison to the trapezoidal fitting according to the invention according to FIG. 1, a conventional (square) hook plate 5 of small dimensions (compared to the upper body width) is shown in FIG. 3.
- the hook plate 5 In the applied state, the hook plate 5 is clearly spaced from the rib cage, so that there is no guidance of the hook plate neither in the longitudinal nor in the transverse direction.
- the central cable pull P is transferred to the oblique transverse belt forces P 2 , which in turn exert a lateral surface pressure p s on the upper body 2, which can lead to crushing.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a Hawaii trapezoidal holding device with hooks for hanging a surfer on a trapezoidal rope, the surfer being fastened to the holding device by means of a cross belt and the belt.
«Windsurfing Magazin», Delius-Klasing-Verlag, Bielefeld-München, Ausgabe August 8/1981, S. 28 bis 34).It is known to absorb the pressure exerted on the sail during wind surfing by hand by holding the sail. In addition, there are belt aids known to relieve the arms when surfing and are also suitable for more extreme surf conditions. Belt aids of this type essentially consist of a cross belt that can be fastened around the upper body, usually with a padded back part. Approximately at the diaphragm height of the bank, a square-cut hook plate is threaded on the attached cross belt, in the hook of which a ribbon attached to the boom can be hung. The harness is known as the “Hawaii harness” (see “Windsurfing Magazine”, Delius-Klasing-Verlag, Bielefeld-Munich, August 8/1981, pp. 28 to 34).
A conventional Hawaii harness with hook plate has the disadvantage that considerable pressure is exerted on the chest when surfing.
In order to counter this disadvantage, various manufacturers have tried to improve the "camisole" and belt arrangement. The state of the art knows well-padded, shell-like, elongated, stiff back parts of camisole in a wide variety of configurations (for example according to EP-A-0 043 107) and multi-belt arrangements with e.g. two shoulder straps and additional cross, diagonal and / or crotch straps for better pressure distribution. Lateral stiffening rods are also known, which are embedded in the camisole.
With all known Hawaii trapezoidal belts of a better design, it is disadvantageous that other shortcomings have to be accepted in order to increase the wearing comfort, e.g. with regard to freedom of movement, handling, quick release, as well as with regard to the water intake volume, the fit and the price.
Based on the problems of the aforementioned prior art, it is an object of the invention to provide a Hawaii trapezoidal holding device with hooks of the type mentioned, which is structurally simple and which practically does not transmit any side forces to the surfer's chest when in use will.
The object on which the invention is based is achieved in that an essentially rigid spreader bar is provided on the front of the surfer, which has a length corresponding approximately to the width of the surfer's chest and supports a transverse belt attached to the surfer's torso transversely to the body axis.
The hook on the spreader rail is advantageously attached centrally.
In particular, it is formed in one piece with a hook plate and rigidly attached to the expansion rail.
The hook plate can be connected to the expansion rail by means of countersunk screws.
A particularly stable arrangement is provided if, in an alternative embodiment, the hook plate is firmly connected to the expansion rail by means of hollow rivets.
A receiving slot is expediently formed between the hook plate and the spreading rail, through which a cross belt guided around the upper body of a surfer can be inserted.
The spreader rail can preferably have a cross belt guide practically over its entire length, so that a tensioned cross belt lying on it cannot slip sideways.
The cross belt guide is in particular an integrated recess formed in the spreading rail.
At the longitudinal ends of the spreader rail there are advantageously slots for the passage of the transverse belt in the area of the upper body sides and forwarding of the belt to the back part.
In addition to the above-mentioned slots, the spreader rail can contain further slots, in particular an upper and / or a lower slot for receiving a shoulder, oblique and / or crotch strap.
A particularly preferred development of the invention provides that the spreader rail is slightly convex over its entire length with respect to the hook side. The convex shape corresponds essentially to the chest curvature and therefore enables a comfortable fit.
A simple, inexpensive series production is provided if the spreader rail is an injection molded plastic part.
Nirostastahl). The hook and hook plate are advantageously made of metal (e.g. stainless steel).
The invention accordingly provides, with amazingly simple means, an expansion aid for a flexible cross belt which is placed around the upper body of a surfer and is under tensile stress on the front. The spreading aid with a clear longitudinal extension corresponding to the width of a surfer's chest prevents lateral pressure from being exerted on the upper body. This increases the comfort of the holding device. The risk of injury to a user is also advantageously reduced. The device is light in weight, handy and allows optimal freedom of movement. Multi-belt arrangements according to the prior art are dispensable, just as stiff, large counter-cushion shells on the back can be dispensed with. When the hook is attached, rigidly or movably attached to the spreader rail, the spreader rail normally lies in a be Quemen fit on the front of the rib cage, whereby due to the central attachment of the hook to the rail, a lateral tilting of the rail in relation to the upper body of the surfer is practically impossible. The holding device can be fastened in two positions (hook opening below, hook opening above), is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and is an advantageous additional device for a Hawaii trapezoid. It then serves as a trapezoidal fitting in which the trapezoidal belt is guided. The traction exerted by the sail on the trapezoidal rope on the trapezoidal fitting is transmitted to the (mostly padded) back part of the trapezoidal belt without any lateral pressure.
