Abstract

Jacket harness for trapeze of sailing craft comprises at least one waterproof portion which covers a certain part of the wearer's body, which is filled with small granules or other particles of expanded plastic material e.g. polyurethane or polyester and which is provided with a valve for creating a vacuum in order to maintain the waterproof portion rigid, so that the harness adapts itself precisely to the shape of the wearer's body. Pref. there are three waterproof portions; a lower portion for the buttocks, an intermediate portion for the small of the back, and an upper portion for the lower region of the back, so that after the vacuum has been created the harness forms a closely fitting seat. Pref. is is made from pieces of natural or synthetic rubberised canvas or sheets or plastic material joined by welding, adhesion, etc.
