Arrangement for an automatic packaging machine for the single phasing of up to a plurality of piece goods (3) conveyed irregularly side by side and behind one another, with several conveyor belts (5) for transporting the piece goods arranged parallel next to one another and separated from one another by lateral limitations formed by channels (4), as well as with an accumulation stop means (16, 17) which is capable of being moved into the path of motion of the piece goods, characterized in that two accumulation stops (16 and 17) arranged behind each other with the spacing of at least one piece goods, as well as two light barriers (30 and 31) arranged in each case in front of an accumulation stop (16 resp. 17) are assigned to each channel (4), with the accumulation stops (16 resp. 17) of each row mounted side by side on a stop rail (18 resp. 19) or cut off from it and able to be actuated in each case by torquer electromagnets (20 resp. 21) as a function of the switching conditions of all the light barriers (30 and 31) for the execution of its intermittent motion, and, further, with the light barrier (30) of the first row (16, 18) in transport direction effecting a switch-on signal respectively a repeat signal at the arrival of a piece goods at a timing circuit (25), as well as with the light barrier (31) of the second row (17, 19) effecting a by-pass signal at the existence of a piece goods at each accumulation stop (17) of this row together on the timing circuit (25), said timing circuit (25) supplying a switching-on signal (27) after termination of its timing constant resp. after arrival of the by-pass signal for the electromagnets (20 and 21).
2. Single-phase arrangement as in Claim 1, characterized in that the timing constant on the timing circuit (25) is adjustable.
3. Single-phase arrangement as in Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the minimal timing constant totals approx. 2 seconds.
