- the present invention relates to a device for reforming profiled sheets, such as sheet piling, after use on one or more occasions.
- Civil engineering uses sheet piles which are profiled steel sheets during excavation for laying pipe foundations or similar works in order to support and prevent sinking of the walls of the ditch. These sheets are introduced vertically into the ground by mechanical means before the start of work. After the end of the work these sheets are removed as far as they can be reused. Those that are not deformed can be reused. Those that have been deformed either because of the nature of the soil or because they were used repeatedly must be reformed.
- GB patent 1,183,331 describes a device for reforming the profile of such sheets.
- the device in question includes four rollers arranged horizontally, profiled and driven in rotation. Two of them act on one side of the deformed sheet and the others on the other side. The first three are arranged in a triangle and exert on the sheet during its advancement a pressure which deforms the sheet longitudinally by bending it in one direction. The fourth roller deforms the sheet longitudinally by bending it in the opposite direction so that at the outlet of the device the sheet has a straight longitudinal profile. It is possible to move vertically and independently the two upper rollers to vary the radii of curvature of deformations imparted by the rollers to the sheet.
- This device makes it possible to reform profiled sheets, such as sheet piling, provided that the transverse profile of two lateral edges of the sheets is straight and not folded in the shape of a hook.
- the lateral edges of certain sheets are folded, in different forms, to allow the sheets to be hooked together when placed in the ground and thus prevent the sheets from moving laterally or tilting inside the ditch by sliding relative to each other under the pressure exerted by the wall of the ditch.
- it is often necessary to clean the interior of these profiled lateral edges after use because, depending on the condition and the nature of the soil in which they were embedded, residues of this soil can cause significant deformation and compromise the connection between the sheets, during a new installation. Such sheets are usually lost because it is not possible to reform the profile of their side edges.

- the device according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises means for reforming the profile of the lateral edges of sheet metal comprising two rolling rollers each provided with a groove and two rolling dies cooperating with the rolling rollers that it comprises means for driving sheets through the means for reforming the profile of the lateral parts.
