Description

The invention relates to a suction cleaning device according to the preamble of the first claim.

In a known suction cleaning device of this type (NL-A 7 513 513), a cleaning water receiving space is formed between walls of the device housing which are arranged concentrically to one another. Within the inner concentric pipe section there is a dirt holding space in which a dirt collecting container is detachably inserted. The cleaning water holding space is separated from the dirt holding space so that cleaning water cannot get into the dirt holding space. In the case of a suction cleaning device designed in this way, a considerable technical outlay is required for the production of the double-walled housing, the cleaning water receiving space being transported in every operating case of the suction cleaning device.

A suction cleaning device is also known (GB-A-1 121 225), in which a dirt holding space is formed by the walls of the housing. This dirt holding space also represents a dirt collecting container for sucked up dirty water. Within this dirt holding space, a container is detachably arranged as a cleaning water holding space. However, this container floats in the soiled dirty water. With this construction, there is therefore no separation between the dirt holding space and the container for the cleaning water absorption, so that the container is always wetted by the sucked back dirty water. This makes it difficult to handle when filling the removed container with dripping water or prior cleaning by hand. In addition, the dirt holding area must be dried before vacuuming dry goods. Otherwise, the dust picked up sticks to the walls of the dirt holding space and forms unsanitary deposits.

No. 3,180,071) which has only a dirt holding space in the housing for soiled waste water. A cleaning water receiving space is not provided in the housing. All that is provided is a suction line which is led through the floor of the dirt holding space into the upper section of the dirt holding space and has a float valve provided at the upper end which closes at maximum water level in the dirt holding space

The invention has for its object to take measures in a suction cleaning device according to the preamble of the first claim, by means of which a simple device construction is made possible and when cleaning dry material the cleaning water receiving space does not have to be carried along.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of the first claim.

When constructing a suction cleaning device according to the invention, the device housing need not be double-walled and the container for holding the cleaning water can be placed in the dirt holding space if necessary. The dirt holding space, the dirt collecting container and the container for the cleaning water are separate spaces. Wetting of the dirt holding space and the container for the cleaning water does not occur as a result of the dirt water sucked back. No separate space is required in the device housing for the container for cleaning water absorption. When vacuuming up dry material, the entire volume of the dirt holding space can then be used by removing the container for the cleaning water and the dirt collecting container. A filter bag of the appropriate size can be used. The sucked-in material is thus collected in a special container suitable for it and can be transported together with the same to an emptying place. If the dirt collecting container that collects the moist material is made from a film, it can be thrown away with its contents like a filled dry filter.

A good use of space is possible if the container for the cleaning water absorption surrounds the dirt collecting container. If the dirt collecting container is arranged in the flow path immediately in front of a float valve which is assigned to the dirt collecting container, overfilling of the dirt collecting container is reliably avoided during operation. The float valve is expediently attached to a cover of the dirt collecting container, so that the dirt collecting container is free of internals.

The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment.

In a housing of a suction cleaning device there is a dirt holding space in which a dirt collecting container is arranged. The dirt collection container can be removed upwards by means of a removable lid. A suction pipe is guided through the lid and a cover of the dirt collecting container, which is connected via a suction hose to a suction mouthpiece for receiving moist or dry suction material. The absorbed suction material is deposited in the dirt collection container, while the air that is carried flows through a float valve, which closes at maximum water level in the dirt collection container, via a suction line to a suction fan. A receiving space for the cleaning water is formed from at least one container, which is set detachably in the housing. It can be removed when vacuuming dry goods. A pump is connected to the tank with which the Reini supply water can be conveyed through a spray line to a spray nozzle connected to the suction nozzle if necessary.

A receiving space for the cleaning water is formed from at least one independent container that is placed in the housing. This container is detachably arranged in the housing so that it can be removed when vacuuming dry goods. For this purpose, it is expedient to arrange the container around the dirt holding space so that its volume can be increased accordingly when vacuuming dry.

If the vacuum cleaning device is only used to vacuum dry suction material, the closed dirt collection container can be removed and a dust filter bag with its connecting plate can be pushed onto the vacuum tube instead. Since no moisture can penetrate into the dirt collecting space due to the sealing of the dirt collecting container with respect to the suction line by means of a ring seal, this space also does not need to be dried when vacuuming dry suction material.

In the housing mounted on wheels, in the operating position the suction fan and the dirt holding space are arranged next to one another by a chamber wall. The removable cover of the dirt collecting container, if applicable, grips the inwardly projecting connection piece of the suction pipe in an airtight and detachable manner. In the float valve there is a float ball and an upstream dirt trap. The output power of the float valve is inserted in an airtight manner in a side opening of the dirt collecting container. The float valve can be detachably connected to the dirt collecting container. The dirt collecting container is thus closed except for the opening for the suction pipe and the output of the float valve in the operating state. The Amganas output can be connected to the suction line to the suction fan via a rubber ring seal, which is guided tightly through the partition.

If in this case moisture-laden suction material is taken up with the suction mouthpiece, the same flows through the suction pipe into the dirt collecting container. In the dirt collection container, the moist suction material carried is deposited on the floor, while the air is sucked through the float valve, which is open when the water container is not filled, and the outlet line and suction line to the blower. The float valve located in the upper section of the dirt collecting container only responds when the water level has reached a corresponding level and there is a risk that water can flow into the blower. The tight connection of the outlet line to the suction line prevents the entry of moist air into the dirt holding area. It is therefore not necessary to clean the dirt holding area after wet vacuuming. After removing the dirt collecting container, which can be lifted out of the dirt collecting space by lifting devices with the lid open, a paper filter bag can be used instead of the dirt collecting container, which is pushed airtight with a corresponding opening in a conventional connection plate onto the inner socket of the suction pipe and held there by means of brackets can be. The dry suction material is then filtered out in the dust bag and the cleaned air is sucked off directly from the dirt collecting space via the suction line into the suction fan. In the absence of humidification of the inner walls of the dirt holding space during wet vacuuming, no fine dust accumulation occurs on its inner walls even when vacuuming dry. The side-by-side arrangement of the dirt collecting space and the suction blower also results in a low center of gravity of the suction cleaning device and thus increased safety against tipping, which is particularly advantageous when used as a wet vacuum cleaner.

In addition, the float valve can also be connected to the cover which can be placed airtight on the dirt collecting container, so that it does not interfere with emptying or cleaning the dirt collecting container.
