Definitions

  • the invention relates to an impregnation device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • an impregnation device which is already known from DE-A-2 719 954, has the advantage that the impregnation liquid (hereinafter "water”) in the storage container is hermetic to the outside world, that is to say the stable room is closed and can thus be contaminated, whereby only as much water flows from the storage container into the drinking trough as the piglets drink in each case.
  • water impregnation liquid
  • the water flowing from the storage tank through the outlet pipe into the drinking trough has to be replaced by an appropriate volume of air, but the air can only penetrate into the storage tank through the outlet pipe, but this is only possible if the water level in the drinking trough is below of the lower end of the outlet pipe has dropped so that air can penetrate. Water escapes in accordance with the penetrating air, the water level rises over the mouth of the outlet pipe and blocks the further water outlet. An automatic regulation of the inflow depending on consumption is thus achieved.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an impregnation device of the type mentioned, in which the storage volume can be easily adapted to the respective needs without the need for different sized storage containers.
  • the solution to this problem is given in the labeling part of the main claim.
  • a further storage container hereinafter referred to as additional container, is simply placed on one and the same storage container that remains in operation, and functions connected to the (bottom, first) reservoir.
  • the additional container is placed on the storage container in such a way that the outlet pipe of the additional container is inserted airtight into the refill opening of the storage container instead of the stopper and is initially immersed in the liquid in the storage container.
  • the physical mode of operation is now unchanged, since the liquid from the combined container volume, as described, runs out according to consumption.
  • an essentially tubular electrical heating device is provided on the cover, which is immersed in the soaking liquid.
  • a heating device is advantageously provided only on the closure lid of the first (lowermost) storage container. The heating device can therefore be saved on the additional container or each additional container, since the water flows from the additional container into the storage container and is therefore automatically heated by its heating device. Accordingly, less thermal energy is required. It is also particularly advantageous that the impregnating liquid in the additional container (or the additional containers) is kept cool and thus protected, which is particularly important when vitamins or preparations are added.
  • the water in the storage container must be heated to approx. 50 to 60 ° C., but the additives mentioned can become unstable or lose efficiency if they are over are exposed to these higher temperatures for a long time.
  • the additional container is provided with a longer outlet pipe for or with at least one extension piece for its outlet pipe, so that the liquid from the additional container is entered directly above the bottom or the lower end of the storage container .
  • the feed from the additional container can be metered, only the amount of liquid flowing from the additional container being mixed with the hotter liquid in the reservoir.
  • the device according to the invention it is also possible to administer a liquid medicament to the animals, the medication being introduced into the additional container, the outlet pipe of which opens out directly above the bottom of the storage container.
  • the drug mixed with the appropriate volume of water, then flows through the first Outlet pipe of the storage container in the trough and is taken up by the piglets. After the relatively small amount of this medication has been consumed, clear water runs from the reservoir, so the piglets have the normal clear water supply at their disposal.
  • the drinking device according to the invention consists of the device according to DE-A-2 719 954 with a drinking trough 1, above which a storage container 40 is arranged by means of a stand 2 such that an outlet pipe 46 of the storage container ends just above the bottom of the drinking trough 1.
  • a further storage container so-called additional container 40a, is provided, which is essentially the same, in particular the same size, as the storage container 40 and can be placed or placed on the storage container 40.
  • the outlet pipe 46a is passed airtight through a refill opening 54 of the reservoir 40, so that the outlet pipe 46a is immersed in the liquid in the reservoir 40.
  • a threaded ring 50 is concentrically provided on the upper wall of the storage container 40, on which the cover 52 is screwed.
  • the threaded ring 50 engages with its upper end in a corresponding groove in the cover 52.
  • the screw connection is airtight.
  • the refill opening 54 is provided in the center of the cover 52 and is closed airtight during operation. As long as only the storage container 40 is used on its own as before, the refill opening 54 is sealed airtight by means of a rubber stopper 56 or the like.
  • a substantially tubular electrical heating device 60 is provided on the inside of the cover 52, an electrical heating foil being provided between two pipes, the connecting cable 66 of which is also passed airtight through the cover and can be connected to a power source by means of plug 68.
  • Crosspieces 42 on the top are used for mounting.
  • the storage container 40 has a conical lower section 44, which is surrounded concentrically by a support ring 48.
  • the outlet pipe 46 is removable from a lower pipe socket 62 of the container.
  • one additional container 40a is provided, which is essentially constructed in the same way as the storage container 40 - with the difference that the additional container 40a has no heating device. It is important that the additional container 40a is airtightly connected to the reservoir 40.
  • the outlet pipe of the additional container 40a is passed through the refill opening 54 of the storage container in an airtight manner, in the example by means of a sealing collar 47.
  • the outlet pipe 46a is immersed in the liquid in the storage container 40.
  • one or more extension pieces are expediently provided, which can be placed on the outlet pipe 46a as desired, so that the outlet pipe can be extended as a whole and the liquid can therefore be introduced from the additional container.
  • the refill opening 54 of the additional container 40a is now sealed airtight by means of a plug 56.
  • a ring 49 is provided on the cover 52 (or on each cover), into which the support ring 48 of the additional container 40a is inserted, whereby the two containers are guided against one another in the axial and radial directions.
  • two webs 70 are provided on the lid 52 (or on each lid) diametrically opposite one another, which work together with webs or wings 71 which are attached to the conical part 44 of the additional container 40a.
  • the webs 70 and wings 71 have bores through which the bolts can be inserted in each case a clamp or a bracket.
  • a watering device according to the invention can also be built for other pets.
