Description

The invention relates to a self-picking up street sweeper with a suction line that conveys the rubbish from a sweeping area into a garbage collection bin and a baffle plate that deflects the garbage after exiting the suction line at an angle to the bottom of the garbage collection bin, behind which the top of the garbage collection bin is connected to a radial fan.

In the previously known designs of this type, the baffle plate ends abruptly in a free edge. According to the knowledge on which the invention is based, the air is entrained as in a free jet straight downwards to the sump consisting of separated waste and spray water. This means that dirty water can be pulled up again, which leads to pollution of the escaping air and eddy formation. Such undesirable consequences can increase if there is additional water in the suction line is injected in order to better separate the dirt particles of the refuse by means of agglomeration.

In order to eliminate these disadvantages, the object of the invention is to improve the separation of the dirt particles of the refuse from their transport air and to obtain a calm air outlet flow behind the free edge of the baffle plate.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the free edge of the baffle plate is curved upward in such a way that the air charged with waste is deflected similarly to a wing without the waste itself being carried away.

In the invention, the curvature at the end of the baffle plate creates a negative pressure in the flow, which deflects or deflects the air flow, but does not impair the further flying of the dirt particles due to their inertia in the old direction. The garbage is thus directed into the sump, whereas the air flow is largely deflected upwards before reaching the sump surface at the connection of the top of the garbage collection container to the suction port of a radial fan. The result is a largely improved separation of the dirt particles from the air, as well as a quiet outlet flow of the air; wiping up dirty water is avoided. The use of aero dynamic rules for the design of the free edge of the baffle plate within the scope of the invention can surprisingly achieve great advantages for the subject matter of the invention with the least possible technical outlay.

An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.

The street sweeper shown in its entirety consists essentially of the chassis with driver's cab and a rubbish collecting bin 2. The rubbish (black arrows) torn open by a broom 4 is sucked away from the street by a sweeper 4 and supported by a blower duct 5 and at an opening 10 of the suction line 3 thrown into the rubbish bin 2. The air flow with the rubbish is deflected at an inclined baffle plate 11 which is attached to the top of the rubbish collecting container 2 and is rounded at 13. The rubbish is driven obliquely downwards and the air stream freed of the rubbish escapes via a sieve 8 covering the rubbish collecting container 2 to a radial fan 9 upstream of the blow line 5.

So that the separation of air and rubbish is as optimal as possible, the free edge 12 of the baffle plate 11 is curved upwards in such a way that the air charged with rubbish is similar to a wing approximately in the direction of the three shown Arrows is deflected without the garbage itself being carried away.
