  • Such lines are known in the art of traveling wave tubes, in particular from French patent 1,162,425. They appear as formed by a succession of elementary sections, or cells, all identical, repeating themselves periodically along the axis of propagation of the electron beam. They have given rise to various variants, one of which provides, for the elimination of certain parasitic operating modes, and when the line has several ceilings, to electrically connect these ceilings to each other, by a simple metal wire, in particular forming a closed loop ; see the first addition to the previous patent, number 82.236.
