Abstract

Disclosed is a lift-type car park for removably storing a plurality of wheeled motor vehicles. The lift platform has a telescoping transport device mounted thereon. The lift platform can be brought level with a transfer area and the telescoping transport device can be extended adjacent the wheels of the motor vehicle to be parked. Guide rollers can then be swung out from the telescoping transport device to movably engage the wheel such that when the telescopic transport device is retracted onto the platform the motor vehicle is pulled onto the lift platform as well. The lift platform can then be moved to any one of a number of storage locations and the reverse operation takes place in which the motor vehicle is placed in a storage space. As a safety feature, in the area where a car is initially picked up prior to storage or deposited after storage, the telescoping transport device extends into a tunnel which serves as a walkway for vehicle occupants protecting them from the telescoping transport device and the guide rollers mounted thereon.

Da das Ausfahren dieser Transportvorrichtung in einem für die Kraftfahrzeuginsassen zugänglichen Bereich erfolgen muß, sind derartige Anlagen darüberhinaus noch zusätzlich zu sichern bzw. es ist dafür zu sorgen, daß die Fahrzeuginsassen vor dem Ausfahren dieser Transportvorrichtungen das Fahrzeug und den Abstellplatz verlassen haben bzw. beim Ausfahrvorgang in umgekehrter Reihenfolge den Abstettptatz erst betreten dürfen, wenn die Transportvorrichtung wieder ihre gesicherte eingefahrene Lage aufweist. Hierdurch wird nicht nur die Gesamtanlage erheblich verteuert sondern der Einstell- und Abholvorgang verzögert. Allein die Verzögerung des Einstell- und Abholvorganges macht sich in der Hauptbetriebszeit besonders nachteilig bemerkbar. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde diese Nachteile zu beseitigen, die Gesamtanlage zu vereinfachen, ihren Betriebsablauf zu beschleunigen und schließlich die Sicherheit für die Fahrzeuginsassen zu erhöhen.In addition, special drives are required, which must be electrically coupled to the overall system and designed to be electronically controllable. Durch eine entsprechende Signalgebung, welche beispielsweise durch Abtaster oder Lichtschranken erfolgt, wird festgestellt, ob sich ein Kraftfahrzeug auf dem Übergabestellplatz 3 befindet. Ist diese Signalgabe positiv, werden die Greif- und Führungsvorrichtungen 10 und 11, welche in dem hier dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel als Mitnehmerrollen ausgebildet sind, ausgefahren und legen sich an die Oberfläche eines Rades 14 des Kraftfahrzeuges an. Danach setzt sich die Teleskoptransporteinrichtung in Bewegung und zieht das Kraftfahrzeug auf die Aufzugsplattform 6, wobei sich danach das Garagentor 18 schließt und die Aufzugsplattform 6 durch automatische Steuerung einen Parkplatz sucht. Claims (5)

1. A lift-type car park with a lift and parking places for motor vehicles (2) disposed above and next to one another in storeys in which the vehicles are moved horizontally rolling on their own wheels (13, 14) with the aid of a telescopic transporting arrangement (1) that is disposed with powering means on a lift platform and can be extended and retracted sideways relative to the vehicle (2) in the plane of the vehicle's wheels (13, 14) and in the longitudinal direction of the platform, characterised in that in order to pick up or set down a motor vehicle (2) at the transfer point (3) the telescoping transporting arrangement can be extended and retracted into a tunnel which is disposed in the longitudinal direction of the platform, secured to the transfer point (3) and provided with a slot-shaped aperture (4) aligned with the side of the vehicle (2) and whereby the tunnel (5) on the transfer point (3) is provided with an opening for extension and retraction of the telescopic transporting arrangement (1) in its front end facing the lift, and the outer surface of the tunnel (5) is formed as a standing area for the vehicle occupants to get in and out of the vehicle (2).
2. A lift-type car park as in claim 1, characterised in that the telescopic transporting arrangement (1) is provided with gripping and guiding means (10, 11) that can be run out and/or retracted laterally in the direction of the vehicle (2) to be moved.
3. A lift-type car park as in claim 2, characterised in that the gripping and guiding means (10, 11) exhibit at least two driving rolls which, when the telescopic transporting arrangement (1) is extended, can be swung out from their resting attitude parallel with the longitudinal axis of the vehicle (2) through about 90 degree in opposite directions until they meet the tread of a vehicle wheel (14) in order to grasp the vehicle wheel (14) at a level below its axis of rotation.
4. A lift-type car park as in claim 1, or one of the preceding claims, characterised in that all the openings in the tunnel (5) can be closed and opened automatically.
5. A lift-type car park as in claim 5, characterized in that the standing area is covered with a non-slip surface.
