Abstract

In the case of sports field coverings (1) with a covering layer of unbound granular material (4), for example sand, ash, this is applied and partially introduced onto a base (3) made of elastic material with a net-like structure, the mesh size of the base material depending on the grain size of the covering material (4) is matched. The underlay (3), which can consist of a coconut fiber, plastic fiber or steel mesh or a steel mesh, prevents the formation of waves due to the wedging of the granular material (4) due to the displacement of this material (4), and it provides the necessary elasticity the topping (1). The base (3) is fixed in its position, for example by bracing at the edges, or, on a solid base (2), in particular a hall base, by nails, anchors or, preferably, by an elastic adhesive already attached to the base at the factory ( 5), which causes increased step elasticity.

Description

The invention relates to a floor covering for sports fields, in particular for sports halls with a solid hall substructure, preferably for tennis halls or the like.

Various types of floor coverings for sports halls have been known for a long time. In addition to the classic wood parquet flooring, there are linoleum, plastic and, more recently, carpets. All of these floor coverings are applied to a solid hall substructure made of concrete, mastic asphalt, screed or the like, namely wooden parquet coverings via spacing elements (so-called vibrating floors) and the other floor coverings mentioned mostly directly or via thin, elastic intermediate layers. In sports halls with a solid hall substructure, sand, red sand or ashes have so far not been able to find their way into the flooring, as can be seen indirectly from the explanation given above. These floor coverings, referred to below as ash coverings, are used a great deal on open air courts, in particular on tennis courts, since they are very advantageous with regard to the risk of injury to athletes and with regard to playability. The ash coverings for open-air spaces are applied to elastic substructures that prevent sand, red sand or ash from slipping too much (wave formation) and are provided with drainage devices for draining rainwater. Until now it was considered impossible to use floor coverings of this type without these complex and unnecessary substructures within sports halls.

Since, as explained above, ash coverings have considerable advantages with regard to the risk of injury for athletes, in particular tennis players, and with regard to playability, in particular in tennis, compared to the known floor coverings mentioned above for sports halls with a solid hall substructure, it is the object of the invention, one Specify flooring, the properties of which are equivalent to the ash coverings previously only used in outdoor areas and can be implemented with relatively little effort.

The floor covering according to the invention for sports fields, in particular for sports halls with a solid hall substructure, in which the problem outlined above is achieved, is initially essentially characterized by a support and adhesive base and an introduced or applied to or on the support and adhesive base Cover made of sand, red sand, ashes or the like. The floor covering according to the invention corresponds practically exactly to the ash coverings used in outdoor areas with regard to the risk of injury for athletes and the playability. The special support and adhesive pad prevents that the pad partially is introduced into it and can wedge in it, undesirable wave formation. At the same time, the support and adhesive underlay ensures the necessary elasticity of the floor covering. Overall, with the floor covering according to the invention, the entry of the ash coverings into sports halls with a solid hall substructure opens the door.

With regard to the nature of the supporting and adhesive documents, there are various options, of which only the particularly advantageous are to be described in detail.

First of all, it is expedient if the supporting and adhesive base consists of an elastic material with a net-like structure. With this structure, the support wedges very easily with the support and adhesive base to form a quasi-homogeneous, elastic floor covering. Experiments have shown that in terms of wedging, elasticity, wear resistance, moisture sensitivity, etc., a coconut fiber fabric is an almost optimal compromise. Nevertheless, a synthetic fiber mesh or a metal braid or mesh can also be used. In any case, it is expedient if the mesh size of the material of the support and adhesive underlay is matched to the grain size of the material of the overlay, so that an optimal interaction between the support and adhesive underlay and the overlay is ensured.

Of course, the supporting and adhesive pad must be in its position, e.g. Lenunterbau be fixed - as in the Hal. There are a multitude of possibilities here, for example a selective fixation via nails, anchors or the like. Or a bracing of the supporting and adhesive base, e.g. B. on the edges of the hall substructure or on the walls of the sports hall. However, it is particularly advantageous if the support and adhesive base is fixed in its position by an elastic adhesive. The adhesive causes two things here, on the one hand fixing the support and adhesive underlay, on the other hand increasing the elasticity of the floor covering.

Finally, it can be of particular advantage from a manufacturing and application point of view if the support and adhesive underlay are provided with the adhesive at the factory and packed airtight for storage and transport to the place of use. The prerequisite here is that the adhesive sets in the air. When the support and adhesive underlay is supplied in roll form, which is probably the most common type of storage and transport, a separating film or the like must of course be provided here between the individual layers of the support and adhesive underlay, so that a smooth unrolling of the support and adhesive underlay is ensured is.

The floor covering according to the invention can and must therefore be treated practically in exactly the same way as the known ash coverings in outdoor areas, so it can be rolled, for example, without further notice. However, the usual blasting to avoid disturbing dust development should be done with fog-like sprayed water due to the lack of drainage and as carefully as possible to prevent the floor covering from soaking.

In addition, the teaching of the invention is applicable both in the installation of new sports fields - outdoor courts or sports halls - and in the renovation of old sports fields, without further ado, if one provides a substructure provided with drainage devices.

In the following, the invention is explained by way of example using a schematic sketch; the sketch shows in a very enlarged representation a section through a floor covering according to the invention.

The floor covering 1 is intended for sports halls with a solid hall substructure 2, for example made of concrete, and consists of a support and adhesive base 3 made of an elastic material with a net-like structure, for example a coconut fiber fabric, and of a support applied in the support and adhesive base 3 4 made of sand, red sand, ash or the like. As the sketch shows, the mesh size of the material of the support and adhesive base 3 is matched to the grain size of the material of the support 4. In addition, the support and adhesive pad 3 is fixed in position on the hall substructure 2 by an elastic adhesive 5.
