Definitions
- the invention relates to the drill head of a rotary impact drill, which has the features mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
- Rotary impact drills are also to be understood here as the drills sometimes referred to as hammer drills, the center drills of drill bits and the like.
- the clear diameter of the opening of the branch hole must be larger than the largest pieces of drilling dust, so that they cannot clog the opening.
- the suction channel and thus also the branch bore with respect to the mouth opening must not narrow anywhere, since otherwise on one Narrowing can cause constipation.
- the diameter of the branch hole must not be less than a certain dimension. It is therefore not possible to produce rotary impact drills with a suction channel as thin as desired, since in thin drills the drill head near the cutting body is weakened by the branch bore so that it can no longer absorb the forces occurring during drilling.
- the invention has for its object to design the drill head of a rotary impact drill so that it is weakened as little as possible by the branch hole.
- the opening of the branch bore extends partially over the adjacent peripheral surface of the drill head, it is limited on one side by the wall of the branch bore and on the other side by the wall of the bore drilled in the rock. Their clear opening is therefore larger than the clear opening of the branch hole.
- the branch bore forms an acute angle with the axial bore
- the wall of the branch bore opposite the wall of the rock bore also forms an acute angle with the wall of the rock bore, so that the space between the wall of the branch bore and the opposite wall of the rock bore in the direction of the suction flow is constantly expanding. It is particularly advantageous here that this also applies to a cylindrical branch bore, since the production of a cylindrical branch bore is considerably easier than the production of a branch bore widening in the suction direction.
- the particular advantage of the invention is that the inventive design allows the head of the rotary impact drill to be designed for much smaller bore diameters than was previously possible. You can do this for the outer diameter of the drill shaft choose the maximum possible size, namely the size of the diameter of the drill head, so that, with a suitable size of the clear opening of the suction channel, drills with a suction hole for bores up to approximately 6 mm can be produced.
- the drill head 1 forms the end of a drill shaft 2 which has a smooth cylindrical peripheral surface 3 over the working length of the drill.
- the drill is shown in FIG. 1 within a bore 4 drilled by it in a rock, for example in a masonry.
- the drill At its rear end, the drill has a thread 5 which can be screwed into the chuck of a drilling machine.
- the drill At the end facing away from the thread 5, the drill has a conical end face 6, which is interrupted by a slot 7 in which a cutting body 8 is fastened, which has a cutting edge 9 on its wedge-shaped end face, which has a transverse cutting edge in its center 11 forms.
- the drill is provided with a suction channel 12, 13, which has an axial bore 12 designed as a cylindrical blind bore, which at its inner end merges into a cylindrical branch bore 13 which connects the axial bore 12 to a mouth opening 14 in the end face 6.
- the mouth opening 14 is arranged on the edge of the end face 6, that it extends with its larger part over the subsequent cylindrical peripheral surface 3 of the drill head 1, so that this part of the coin tion opening 14 initially expanded with increasing distance from the end face 6 until the cylindrical peripheral surface 3 intersects the branch bore 13 in two diametrically opposite points.
- the ini.ere end 15 of the axial bore 12 is at an axial distance from the slot 7 for the cutting body 8.
- the branch bore 13 connects so that the cross section of the inner end 15 is at least about half of that Section of the branch hole 1, which lies in the plane of the cross section of the inner end, so that the branch hole 13 can expand freely at the inner end of the axial hole in this immediately.
- the mouth 14 is arranged such that it is adjacent to the side 18 of the cutting body 8 that leads in the direction of the arrow 17 during drilling, as can be seen from FIG.
- the distance 19 of the cutting edge 9 from the end face 6 is smaller than the greatest radial distance 22 of the edge of the mouth opening 14 which results in the clear width of the mouth opening 14 from the flight circle 23 of the radially outermost edge of the cutting body 8.
- the protrusion 21 of the cutting body 8 over the peripheral surface 3 of the drill is also smaller than the distance 22.
- the branch bore 13 is open radially outwards in the region of the mouth opening 14, there is a relatively enlarged actual mouth opening of the suction channel 12, 13 without the drill head 1 in the vicinity of the cutting body 8 being weakened by the entire clear opening of the actual mouth opening is.
Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 einen unterbrochen dargestellten Diametralschnitt des Ausführungsheispieles des Drehschlagbohrers nach der Linie I - I in Fig. 2;
- Fig. 2 eine Ansicht der Stirnfläche des Bohrersnach Fig. 1.
