Es kann somit ein beliebig langer Verfahrweg des Walzgerüstes schnell durchfahren werden, wobei jegliche, räumlich hindernden und baulich aufwendigen Hilfseinrichtungen in vorteilhafter und kostensparender Weise entfallen können. An dem Walzgerüst 1 ist im Bereich der Achse 11 ein Antriebsmotor 14 angeordnet, welcher über ein Zwischengetriebe 15 auf die Achse 11 und damit auf die Rollen 10 mit dem Eigengewicht des Walzgerüstes 1 kraftübertragend wirksam ist und damit den Verfahrantrieb des Walzgerüstes zum Ausfahren oder Einfahren in die Walzlinie beim Gerüstwechsel bildet.
