Ein Bratofen dieser Art ist aus der DE-OS 26 05 699 bekannt. Die Zubereitung bzw. Garung des Gutes kann bei diesem Bratofen auf herkömmliche Weise unter Einschaltung der Unter- und/oder Oberbeheizung des Bratofens erfolgen. Bei Benutzung der Mikrowelleneinrichtung zum Garen wird zu deren Unterstützung noch zusätzlich die Unter- und/oder Oberbeheizung zugeschaltet, um dem Äußeren des Gargutes eine gewisse Bräunung und somit Geschmacksverbesserung zu geben.A roasting oven of this type is known from DE-OS 26 05 699. Die mit der Erfindung erreichten Vorteile sind im wesentlichen darin zu sehen, daß bei jedem Einschaltvorgang zunächst eine große Aufheizleistung für den Bratofen zur Verfügung steht, durch die der Bratofen bzw. der Bratraum in einer relativ kurzen Zeitspanne auf etwa 250°C aufgeheizt und nach Erreichen der genannten Temperatur automatisch auf eine kleinere Heizleistung bestehend aus der Unter-und Oberbeheizung zurückgeschaltet wird. Daraus ergibt sich nicht nur der Vorteil einer verkürzten Garzeit insgesamt, sondern das Gargut und zwar insbesondere das Bratgut wird auch bei Einsatz der zeitsparenden Mikrowelleneinrichtung gut durchgebraten, so daß sich die den Geschmack eines Bratens bewirkenden Geschmacks- bzw. Der inneren Oberseite 1" des Bratofengehäuses 1 ist ein als Oberbeheizung dienender Heizstab 4 und zwischen diesem ein weiterer Heizstab 5, der als Zusatzheizung verwendet wird, vorgesehen.
