Abstract
Un proceso para la acetilación de la madera que comprende sumergir la madera en un fluido de acetilación bajo presión, y calentar posteriormente la madera bajo condiciones controladas para iniciar dos reacciones exotérmicas distintas. El proceso permite el aprovechamiento simultáneo de grandes cantidades de tamaños comerciales de madera que tienen una durabilidad clase 4 o clase 5 con un único producto durabilidad clase 1 o clase 2.
