Abstract

Un sistema para la reducción del descenso de presión asociado con un flujo turbulento de crudos asfalténicos a través de un conducto. El crudo tiene un alto contenido de asfalteno y/o una gravedad API baja. Dicha reducción en el descenso de presión es alcanzada tratando el crudo asfalténico con un polímero reductor de fricción de lato peso molecular que puede tener un parámetro de solubilidad dentro de aproximadamente 20 por ciento del parámetro de solubilidad del crudo pesado. El polímero reductor de fricción también puede comprender los residuos de monómeros que tienen al menos un heteroátomo.
