Abstract
Una composición reductora de fricción hidráulica que comprende por lo menos un polímero de tipo no poli-alfaolefina que tiene un tamaño de partícula promedio en el intervalo de aproximadamente 5 hasta aproximadamente 800 micrómetros. El polímero de tipo no poli-alfaolefina se puede formar inicialmente mediante polimerización en emulsión. Las partículas de polímero iniciales después se pueden consolidar por lo menos parcialmente y después reducir de tamaño y suspender en un fluido portador. La composición reductora de fricción hidráulica resultante se puede agregar a un fluido que contiene hidrocarburo para reducir la caída de presión asociada con el flujo turbulento del fluido que contiene hidrocarburo a través de un conducto.
