Изобретение относится к способу и устройству для обработки технологического газа (8), протекающего из рабочего пространства пирометаллургической печи (1; 1а) в котел-утилизатор (2) тепла отходящих газов, который находится в гидравлическом соединении с рабочим пространством пирометаллургической печи (1; 1а) через соединительное отверстие (6). Способ включает обеспечение области соединительного отверстия (6) между рабочим пространством пирометаллургической печи (1; 1а) и котлом-утилизатором (2) тепла отходящих газов средством (7) продувки газа для вдувания газа в технологический газ (8), протекающий из рабочего пространства пирометаллургической печи (1; 1а) в котел-утилизатор (2) тепла отходящих газов, и вдувание газа с помощью средства (7) продувки газа в технологический газ (8), протекающий из рабочего пространства пирометаллургической печи (1; 1а) в котел-утилизатор (2) тепла отходящих газов.
