Изобретение относится к датчику потока и к способу контроля конденсатоотводчика (20), содержащему следующие этапы: а) обеспечение датчиком (1) потока для регистрации свойств потока в трубе, проводящей среду, и/или в арматуре, b) определение параметров колебаний посредством преобразователя (112) колебаний в месте (8) измерения, предусмотренном в датчике (1) потока, с) электронный анализ параметров колебаний вибратора (9), причем в месте (8) измерения записываются колебания первой области (2) вибратора (9), предусмотренной, по меньшей мере, частично в потоке среды, или рядом с ним, и второй области (3) вибратора (9), предусмотренной за пределами потока.
