Abstract

В заявке описан способ регулирования экспрессии гена в растениях. В частности, способ включает трансформацию растения с помощью кассеты экспрессии рецептора USP, кодирующей полипептид рецептора USP, и по крайней мере одной кассеты экспрессии мишени, кодирующей полипептид-мишень. Контактирование трансформированного растения с ювенильным гормоном или одним из его агонистов активирует экспрессию полипептида-мишени в присутствии полипептида рецептора USP. Необязательно могут применяться дополнительные "вспомогательные" кассеты экспрессии рецептора, причем такая вспомогательная кассета экспрессии рецептора кодирует полипептид рецептора, отличный от USP. Способ пригоден для регулирования различных агрономически важных признаков таких как фертильность растений. Также описан способ выявления ранее неизвестных лигандов для USP. Подлежащие тестированию соединения выявляют путем контактирования с растительными клетками, трансформированными с помощью кассеты экспрессии рецептора USP и кассеты экспрессии мишени. Кассета экспрессии мишени кодирует репортерный полипептид, экспрессия которого может быть определена качественно или количественно, посредством чего выявляют, является ли тестируемое соединение лигандом для USP.Международная заявка была опубликована вместе с отчетом о международном поиске.
