Claims (31)

1. Trykmedie omfattende et substrat med en første side og en bagside, hvor substratet omfatter mindst på den første side mindst et permeabelt coatinglag omfattende pigmentpartikler, hvor pigmentpartiklerne, når i form af et komprimeret leje, har en monomodal porediameterfordeling, en volumen-defineret polydispergering udtrykt som fuld bredde ved halv maksimal højde (FWHM) fra 40 til 80 nm, og en volumen-defineret gennemsnitlig porediameter fra 30 til 80 nm.
2. Trykmediet ifølge krav 1, hvor substratet er valgt fra papir, karton, pakkekarton, plast, cellofan, tekstil, træ, metal, eller beton, fortrinsvis papir, karton, eller pakkekarton.
3. Trykmediet ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor substratet omfatter mindst et permeabelt coatinglag på den første side og bagsiden.
4. Trykmediet ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor substratet er struktureret af mindst to underlag, fortrinsvis tre, fem, eller syv underlag.

Trykmediet ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor pigmentpartiklerne er valgt fra calciumkarbonat, plastpigmenter såsom polystyren-baserede plastpigmenter, titaniumdioxid, dolomit, calcineret ler, ikke-calcineret (vandholdigt) ler, bentonit, eller blandinger deraf, fortrinsvis calciumkarbonat, og mere fortrinsvis præcipiteret calciumkarbonat.
7. Trykmediet ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor pigmentpartiklerne, når i form af et komprimeret leje, haren volumen-defineret polydispergering udtrykt som fuld bredde ved halv maksimal højde (FWHM) fra 45 til 75 nm, og fortrinsvis fra 50 til 70 nm.
8. Trykmediet ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor pigmentpartiklerne, når i form af et komprimeret leje, har en volumen-defineret gennemsnitlig porediameter fra 35 til 75 nm, fortrinsvis fra 40 til 70 nm.
9. Trykmediet ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor pigmentpartiklerne, når i form af et komprimeret leje, har en intruderet total specifik hulrumsvolumen fra 0,20 til 0,50 cm3/g, fortrinsvis fra 0,25 til 0,48 cm3/g, mere fortrinsvis fra 0,30 til 0,55 cm3/g, og mest fortrinsvis fra 0,35 til 0,40 cm3/g.
10. Trykmediet ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor pigmentpartiklerne har et specifikt overfladeareal fra 10 til 30 m2/g, fortrinsvis fra 15 til 25 m2/g.

Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af et trykmedie omfattende trinnene: a) at tilvejebringe et substrat med en første side og en bagside, og b) at påføre en coatingsammensætning omfattende pigmentpartikler og mindst et coatingbindemiddel på den første side af substratet for at danne et permeabelt coatinglag, hvor pigmentpartiklerne, når i form af et komprimeret leje, har en monomodal porediameterfordeling, en volumen-defineret polydispergering udtrykt som fuld bredde ved halv maksimal højde (FWHM) fra 40 til 80 nm, og en volumen-defineret gennemsnitlig porediameter fra 30 til 80 nm.
19. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 18, hvor coatingsammensætningen er en væskeformig coatingsammensætning og fremgangsmåden yderligere omfatter et trin c) at tørre coatinglaget.
20. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 19, hvor trinnene b) og c) også udføres på bagsiden af substratet til fremstilling af et trykmedie coatet på den første side og bagsiden.
21. Fremgangsmåden ifølge kravene 19 eller 20, hvor trinnene b) og c) udføres en anden gang under anvendelse af en forskellig eller den samme væskeformige coatingsammensætning.
