Claims (18)
1. En sammensætning omfattende methyl-5-ALA-ester, eller et farmaceutisk acceptabelt salt deraf til anvendelse i fotodynamisk terapi (PDT) på et dyr til behandling af acne, hvor nævnte PDT omfatter: (a) indgivelse af sammensætningen til dyret; og (b) fotoaktivering nævnte methyl-5-ALA-ester, og hvor bivirkninger af nævnte PDT forebygges eller reduceres ved (i) at sammensætningen omfatter methyl-5-ALA-ester i en koncentration på mindre end 10 vægt-%, og (ii) at sammensætningen indgives i mindre end 2 timer før nævnte fotoaktivering.
2. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge krav 1, hvor bivirkningerne er smerter og/eller erytem.
3. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge krav 1 eller krav 2, hvor sammensætningen omfatter methyl-5-ALA ester i en koncentration på 0,5 til 8 vægt-%.
4. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge krav 3, hvor sammensætningen omfatter methyl-5-ALA-ester i en koncentration på 4 til 8 vægt-%.
5. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 4, hvor sammensætningen indgives i 5 minutter til 90 minutter inden nævnte fotoaktivering.
6. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 4, hvor sammensætningen indgives i 30 minutter til 90 minutter inden nævnte fotoaktivering.
7. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor nævnte fotoaktivering udføres ved at anvende en lysdosis på 10-100 J / cm2.
8. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor nævnte fotoaktivering udføres ved at anvende en lysdosis på 37 J / cm2.

10. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 9, hvor nævnte fotoaktivering udføres med lys med en bølgelængde på 400 til 700 nm.
11. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 8, hvor nævnte fotoaktivering udføres med sollys .
12. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge krav 11, hvor fotoaktivering med sollys udføres umiddelbart efter indgivelsen af sammensætningen.
13. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge krav 11 eller krav 12, hvor den lette dosis modtaget af dyret med sollys overvåges ved hjælp af et bærbart fotometer.
14. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor sammensætningen er i form af en creme.
15. Sammensætning til anvendelse i PDT ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor den nævnte PDT har i det væsentlige den samme terapeutiske virkning som den tilsvarende standard PDT behandling.

17. Anvendelse af methyl-5-ALA-ester, eller et farmaceutisk acceptabelt salt deraf, til fremstilling af en sammensætning til fotodynamisk terapi (PDT) på et dyr ifølge krav 1.
18. Anvendelse ifølge krav 17, hvor dyret er et menneske.
