Claims (17)

1. Apparat (100, 200) til indgivelse af et elektrisk felt som letter den intracellulære indgivelse af et terapeutisk middel til et forudbestemt sted inde i vævet af en patient omfattende: a) en flerhed af penetrerende elektroder anbragt i et forudbestemt rumforhold, hver elektrode med et tværsnitareal som bidrager til det totale tværsnitareal afalle elektroder; b) strukturorgan som inkorporerer en ikke aktiv energikilde operativt forbundet til flerheden af elektroder for at indsætte elektroderne uden betydelig deformering, og hvor energikilden er tilstrækkelig til at overføre en kraft på mindst 0,7 kg/kvadratmillimeter (1000 pund pr. kvadrattomme) af det totale tværsnitareal af alle elektroder ved påbegyndelsen af indsættelsen af elektroderne, og en kraft på mindst 0,35 kg/kvadratmillimeter (500 pund pr. kvadrattomme) af det totale tværsnitareal af alle elektroder ved slutningen af indsættelsen af elektroderne således at elektroderne indsættes uden væsentlig deformering inde i vævet af en patient; og c) organ til at generere et elektrisk felt som letter den intracellulære indgivelse af et terapeutisk middel, hvilket organ er operativt forbundet til elektroderne i det mindste i deres anvendte tilstand.
2. Apparatet ifølge krav 1 endvidere omfattende: a) strukturorgan konfigureret til at acceptere en fluidbeholder til at indeholde et terapeutisk middel hvor beholderen er operativt forbundet til mindst en injektionsåbning; og b) aktiveringsorgan konfigureret til at sende det terapeutiske middel igennem åbningen til det forudbestemte sted inde i vævet af patienten.
3. Apparatet ifølge krav 1 endvidere omfattende: a) fluidbeholder til at indeholde et terapeutisk middel, beholderen operativt forbundet til mindst en injektionsåbning; b) aktiveringsorgan konfigureret til at sende det terapeutiske middel igennem åbningen til det forudbestemte sted inde i vævet af patienten; c) strukturorgan som inkorporerer virksomme forbindelser til de penetrerende elektroder, fluidbeholderen, og injektionsåbningen hvor strukturorganet er konfigureret til at tillade disposition af flerheden af elektroder og injektionsåbningen inde i vævet afen patient ifølge et forudbestemt rumforhold; og d) en ikke aktiv energikilde operativt forbundet til aktiveringsorganet hvor energikilden er konfigureret til at påføre en kraft på mindst 1,1 Newton (0,25 pund) igennem fluidbeholderen til det terapeutiske middel.
4. Apparatet ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor energikilden til at indsætte elektroderne er mindst en fjeder.
5. Apparatet ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor energikilden til at indsætte elektroderne er mindst en komprimeret gas.
6. Apparatet ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor energikilden til at indsætte elektroderne er en lineær motor.
