Den foreliggende opfindelse angår anvendelse af et hidtil ukendt polyæterderivat, fremstillet som angivet i krav 1, som emulgator i emulsioner.
Desuden angår opfindelsen en emulsion til tekniske 5 og kosmetiske formål og indeholdende sædvanligt i emulsio ner anvendte fedtstoffer og/eller olier, voksarter, fedtalkoholer, fedtsyrer, mineralolier og/eller andre sædvanlige hjælpestoffer samt vand, hvilken emulsion er fremstillet under anvendelse af et polyæterderivat som emulgator 10 og emulsionen er kendetegnet ved, at polyæterderivatet er et polyæterderivat som angivet i krav 1-3, og det udgør en mængde på 0,5-10 vægt%, regnet på hele emulsionens vægt.
Disse polyæterderivater svarer i sammensætning til U den almene formel CH, R2 i i 3 i R -0(CH,CH,0) (CH.CHO) (CH--CH0) .H 2 2 m 2 n 2 p 2Q hvor R1 er en alifatisk kulbrinterest med 1 til 3 kulstof atomer, R2 er en alifatisk kulbrinterest med 8 til 30 kulstofatomer, m er et tal 10-50, n er et tal 0-10 og p et tal 1-10.
Disse hidtil ukendte æterderivater fremstilles ana-25 logt med de kendte omsætninger og alkoholer med 1,2-epoxy- der, fx beskrevet i Houben-Weyl), Methoden der organischen Chemie (1965), bind 14,2 side 436 til 450.
Der kendes allerede emulgatorer tilhørende mange forskellige stofklasser, fx sorbitan, fedtsyreestere og ætoxylater deraf, ikke-ionogene, anionaktive eller kation-aktive tensider og fosforsyre-partialestersalte. Særlig betydning har de nævnte fedtsyreestere og ætoxylater deraf, der dog har den ulempe at de er mere ømfindtlige over for hydrolyse end mange andre stofgrupper. Emulgatorer der indeholder aminnitrogen i bundet form er i almindelighed toxiske og fører til hudirritation.

Fra USA patentskrift nr. 4.207.421 kendes der bionedbrydelige, alkalistabile nonioniske polyestere med den almene formel
5 R-0-(CH2-CH2-0)a-(CH2-CH-0)b-H
R' hvor R er en ligekædet alkylgruppe med gennemsnitligt 16-18 kulstofatomer, R' metyl eller ætyl, a er et tal med en 10 gennemsnitsværdi på 9-15 og b med gennemsnitsværdien 3-5.
Disse polyætere afviger fra de ifølge den foreliggende opfindelse anvendte i to væsentlige henseender. For det første er alkylgruppen R langkædet, mens den tilsvaren- de alifatiske kulbrinterest R i de ifølge opfindelsen an-15 vendte polyætere kun indeholder 1-3 kulstofatomer. For det andet har kulbrinteresten R' i US-skriftet kun 1 eller 2 C-atomer, mens der i de ifølge den foreliggende opfindelse anvendte polyætere er tillejret et langkædet epoxid med en kulbrinterest med 8-30 kulstofatomer.
20 De ifølge opfindelsen anvendte polyætere har således en anden struktur end de kendte, og de har den fordel at de fører til væsentligt mere stabile emulsioner, både hvad angår lagerstabilitet og varme- og kuldestabilitet. Denne stabilitet af emulsioner dannet ved hjælp af de omhand-25 lede polyætere er særdeles god endnu efter tre måneder.
Fra USA patentskrift nr. 4.302.349 kendes der alkalistabile addukter af alkoholer og olefinoxider egnet til nedsættelse af grænsefladespændingen af oliefaser i forhold til vand. De har formlen 30 R[O-(CHoCH_0) -(CH-CH-0) -H)3 _ 2 2 x j i y z R' R" hvor z er 1 eller 2, idet hvis z=1, R er alkyl, aralkyl 35 eller alkylaryl med 8-22 C-atomer i alkyldelen eller C2-22 ' mens R er alkylen eller arylalkylen

3 med 4-22 C-atomer i den alifatiske del hvis z=2; R' og R" er hver for sig hydrogen eller alkyl, x er 10-40 og y er 1,2-5.
Strukturelt adskiller disse kendte forbindelser sig 5 først og fremmest fra de ifølge opfindelsen anvendte ved den langkædede gruppe R. Det oplyses i skriftet at forbindelserne er praktisk taget uopløselige i vand og deres hovedformål er at være skumdæmpende tilsætninger til stærkt skummende tensider eller til motorolier. De angives også at 10 kunne bruges som hjælpe-emulgeringsmidler. At dømme efter skriftet kan disse kendte forbindelser ikke anvendes som emulgeringsmidler alene.
De polyæterderivater der anvendes ifølge den foreliggende opfindelse har den fordel at de alt afhængig af deres 15 sammensætning og i modsætning til de fleste kendte emulga torer kan anvendes både til olie-i-vand og vand-i-olie emulsioner. De er herved i høj grad brugbare både til kosmetiske og til tekniske emulsioner. I sammenligning med estere må deres høje stabilitet mod forsæbning fremhæves. Der behø-20 ves ingen antioxidanter. De er dermatologisk og toxikologisk uskadelige.
Som polyæterderivater foretrækkes det ifølge opfindelsen at anvende sådanne hvis kædelængde i det langkædede 2 epoxyd er 12 til 20 C-atomer (R = 10-18). Desuden foretræk-25 kes polyæterderivater i hvilke alkylgruppen R1 er en metyl gruppe.
Polyæterderivaterne kan alt efter molekylopbygningen anvendes som virksomme emulgatorer til kosmetiske og tekniske formål både i olie-i-vand emulsioner og vand-i-olie 30 emulsioner. Der opnås særligt fordelagtige emulgatorer til olie-i-vand emulsioner når den andel af polyæterblokkene, der er opbygget af polyætylenoxydenheder og eventuelt polypropy-lenoxydenheder, andrager mindst 60 vægt% af hele polyæter-derivatet. Særligt fremragende emulgatorer til vand-i-olie 35 emulsioner er sådanne ved hvilke den andel af polyæterblok kene, der er opbygget af polyætylenoxydenheder og eventuelt polypropylenoxydenheder, højst andrager 50 vægt% af hele

Til kosmetiske emulsioner foretrækkes især vand-i-olie emulsioner, til hvilke de foreliggende polyæterderi-vater egner sig i særlig grad. Især skal fremhæves den spon-5 tane emulgeringsvirkning af disse polyæterderivater og det glatte og glinsende udseende af de dermed fremstillede cremer. Cremerne er ikke klæbrige og er lette at fordele på huden.
De ifølge opfindelsen anvendte polyæterderivater 10 er farve- og lugtløse og bestandige mod oxydative indvirk ninger. De fremstillede emulsioner kan uden vanskelighed bruges af personer med ømfindtlig hud og efterlader en behagelig følelse på huden. Parfumering kan holdes inden for snævre grænser, da parfumen ikke skal overdække nogen ube-15 hagelig egenlugt af polyæterderivaterne, hvad der også be virker at sådanne cremer selv i parfumeret tilstand er fordelagtige for personer med ømfindtlig hud.
Fremstilling af emulsionerne ifølge opfindelsen sker på simpel og kendt måde ved opløsning af det som emulgator 20 tjenende polyæterderivat i oliefasen ved en forhøjet tempera tur på ca. 75°C og efterfølgende langsom tilsætning af den til ca. 75°C opvarmede vandfase under ctnrøririg af den dannede emulsion. Indholdsstoffer til de emulsioner, fx kosmetiske emulsioner, der skal fremstilles såsom regulatorer for hudens fugtighed, 25 udtræk af vegetabilske virkestoffer, vitaminer, hormoner, pig menter, salte, parfumeolier, UV-filterstoffer og farvestoffer opløses .eller fordeles hensigtsmæssigt i den fase hvortil de pågældende stoffer er bestemt. Den nødvendige mængde emulgator andrager 0,5 til 10 vægts, regnet på den samlede emulsion.
30 Den vandmængde der skal indarbejdes kan andrage 20 til 80 vægt%, regnet på hele emulsionen.
Som oliefase i emulsionen ifølge opfindelsen kan bruges sædvanligt anvendte produkter såsom animalske og vegetabilske olier og fedtstoffer, syntetiske estere af fedtsyrer med alifa-35 tiske alkoholer, højere fedtalkoholer, voksarter, såkaldte mi neralske fedtstoffer og olier såsom paraffinolie, vaselin eller ceresin og endvidere silikonolier eller silikonefedt.

Nogle eksempler tjener til nærmere belysning af poly-æterderivaterne og emulsionerne ifølge opfindelsen. I eksemplerne er alle dele vægtdele.
5 Eksempel 1 I en trehalset kolbe med omrører, nedstigende køler, termometer og gastilledningsrør smeltes alkoholætoxylatet under en nitrogenatmosfære og der tilsættes 45%s vandig ka-Tq liumhydroxydopløsning i en mængde på 0,5 vægt% af alle ud gangsstoffernes samlede vægt. I en halv time opvarmes der under gen-nemledning af nitrogen til 60°C, der anlægges et vandstråleva-kuum og opvarmes i en halv time til 100°C, hvorpå det hele holdes i en halv time på denne temperatur under vakuum. Til 15 sidst afspændes der med nitrogen, opvarmes i en halv time til 180°C og tildryppes epoxyalkan i 1 time. Efter en efterreakti-onstid på 2 timer er reaktionen afsluttet. Der afkøles til 100°C og neutraliseres med 90% s irælkesyre.
Under disse fremstillingsbetingelser fremstilledes der 20 produkter hvis sammensætning og egenskaber var som anført i ta bel 1.

Fremstilling af emulsioner
Der fremstilledes de i de følgende eksempler anførte 5 vand-i-olie og olie-i-vand emulsioner ved at de ifølge opfindelsen anvendte polyæterder i vater sammen med fedtfasens øvrige komponenter opvarmedes til 75°C; desuden opvarmedes vandfasens komponenter også til 75°C og derpå sattes den langsomt til den varme fedtfase, i begyndelsen under hurtig omrøring. Efter afkøling af den fær-10 dige emulsion parfumeres der om ønsket. På tilsvarende måde fremstilledes der desuden emulsioner ved hvilke der til sammenligning anvendtes i handelen gående emulgatorer.
For alle de gamle emulsioners vedkommende vurderedes lagerstabiliteten over et tidsrum på mindst 3 måneder under iagt-15 tagelse af eventuel olie- eller vandudskillelse. Desuden bestemte man varmestabiliteten ved en temperatur på 45°C, kuldestabiliteten ved en temperatur på -5°C og stabiliteten ved 20°C.
Vurderingen af lagerstabiliteten, varmestabiliteten og 20 kuldestabiliteten skete efter en skala: 1 = særdeles god 2 = brugbar 3 = ubrugelig

Claims (5)
1. Anvendelse af et polyasterderivat som emulgator i emulsioner, hvilket polyæterderivat er fremstillet ved trin-vis tillejring af 1-10 mol af et langkædet 1,2-epoxid indeholdende 10 til 32 kulstofatomer ved temperaturer på 100 til 200°C til en polyætylenglykolmonoalkylæter hvis vægtgennemsnitlige molekylvægt er 472 til 2260 og hvis alkyl-gruppe indeholder 1-3 kulstofatomer, eller til en polyæty-g lenglykol-polypropylenglykolmonoalkylæter hvis vægtgennemsnitlige molekylvægt er 530-2840, hvis tilbagevendende ætylenoxidenheder og propylenoxidenheder hver danner en blok, hvorved propylenglykolblokken har en vægtgennemsnitlig molekylvægt på højst 580, og hvis alkylætergruppe dan-^ ner polyætylenglykolblokkens ende og indeholder 1 til 3 kulstofatomer, idet tillejringen er sket under anvendelse af 0,1 til 1 vægt% alkalihydroxid, regnet på udgangsstoffernes samlede vægt.
2. Anvendelse ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved at det langkædede epoxyd indeholder 12-20 kulstofatomer.
3. Anvendelse ifølge krav 1 eller 2, kendetegnet ved at alkylgruppen er en metylgruppe.
4. Anvendelse ifølge krav 1-3, kendetegnet ved, at emulsionerne er vand-i-olie emulsioner. __
5. Emulsion til tekniske og kosmetiske formål og inde- 25 holdende sædvanligt i emulsioner anvendte fedtstoffer og/eller olier, voksarter, fedtalkoholer, fedtsyrer, mineralolier og/eller andre sædvanlige hjælpestoffer samt vand, hvilken emulsion er fremstillet under anvendelse af et poly-2ø æterderivat som emulgator, kendetegnet ved at polyæterderivatet er et polyæterderivat som angivet i krav 1-3 og det udgør en mængde på 0,5-10 vægt%, regnet på hele emulsionens vægt. 35
