Description
- 1 - 150548
Opfindelsen angår en olie-i-vand-emulsion til koldvalsning af letmetaller, navnlig aluminium og aluminiumlegeringer, med polyisobutylen som hydrodynamisk filmdanner, alkylmonocarbonsyreestere som reaktionslagdanner, polyethoxylerede sorbitanoleater som emulgator, umættede, 5 langkædede alkylmonocarbonsyrer som inhibitor mod hydrogensprødgørelse og rustdannelse, hexamethylentetramin som stabilisator, fungicid og baktericid samt afioniseret vand.
I sammenligning med valsesmøremidler på oliebasis muliggør olie-i-vand-emulsioner på grund af den større fordampningsvarme af vand en 10 langt bedre køling og dermed et større forhold mellem indgangstykkelsen og tykkelsesformindskelsen (stikaftagning) og/eller forøget valsehastighed. Foruden disse rent økonomiske faktorer, som i vid udstrækning imødekommer rationaliseringsbestræbelser, må endvidere tages i betragtning, at vandige valsemidler giver stærkt formindskede afgangs-15 luftproblemer og er mindre afhængige af jordolie. Derfor har man inden for letmetalindustrien, navnlig i aluminiumindustrien, allerede foretaget mange forsøg på ved koldvalsning af bånd at anvende olie-i-vand-emulsioner.
Fra DE-fremlæggelsesskrift 26 32 142 kendes en olie-i-vand-emul-20 sion til koldvalsning af letmetaller, som indeholder alkylmonocarbon-syreester som reaktionslagdanner, polyisobutylen som hydrodynamisk filmdanner, polyethoxylerede sorbitanoleater som emulgator, umættede, langkædede alkylmonocarbonsyrer som inhibitor mod hydrogensprødgørelse og rustdannelse, hexamethylentetramin som stabilisator, fungicid og 25 baktericid, og resten afioniseret vand.
En væsentlig ulempe ved den kendte olie-i-vand-emulsion er, at den ved valseoperationen frisk frembragte metaloverflade i løbet af få sekunder reagerer med vand. Dette overfladekorrosionsangreb som følge af vandfasen fører til forstyrrende pletter på båndoverfladen· Den ved 30 dannelsen af disse såkaldte vandpletter forringede overfladekvalitet af et bånd eller en folie er utilstrækkelig til mange anvendelsesformål.
Det er derfor ved anvendelse af de kendte olie-i-vand-emulsioner ubetinget nødvendigt umiddelbart efter båndets udtræden fra valseværket at fjerne emulsionen så fuldstændigt som muligt fra den valsede båndover-35 flade, f.eks. ved afblæsning med trykluft.
- 2 - 150548 På baggrund af disse kendsgerninger har opfindelsen -til opgave af tilvejebringe en olie-i-vand-emulsion af den indledningsvis nævnte art til koldvalsning af letmetaller, navnlig aluminium og aluminiumlegeringer, med hvilken dannelsen af vandpletter på den frisk valsede bånd-5 overflade kan formindskes.
Ifølge opfindelsen løses opgaven ved, at emulsionen yderligere indeholder xylit og sorbit som inhibitor mod vandpletdannelse.
Ved den samlede tilsætning af xylit og sorbit til en olie-i-vand-emulsion forhindres i vid udstrækning dannelsen af vandpletter. En 10 fjernelse af emulsionen fra de frisk valsede bånds overflade er således ikke mere ubetinget nødvendig. Inhibitoren er allerede fuldt virksom, hvis 1000 vægtdele af emulsionen indeholder 1-30 vægtdele xylit og 1 - 30 vægtdele sorbit.
Det har endvidere vist sig, at virkningen af den af xylit og sor-15 bit sammensatte inhibitor yderligere kan forøges ved tilsætning af glycerin. Hensigtsmæssigt indeholder 1000 vægtdele af emulsionen 20 - 90 vægtdele glycerin.
Tilsætningen af xylit, sorbit og eventuelt glycerin påvirker ikke valseoperationen og fører ved en efterfølgende glødning af de valsede 20 bånd heller ikke til rester på båndoverfladen.
Fordelene ved den ved opfindelsen angivne tilsætning af inhibitoren mod vandpletdannelse fremgår af de følgende forsøg med koldvalse-emulsioner.

De organiske komponenter blev blandet ved stuetemperatur ved omrøring, og der tilsattes afioniseret vand# De to adskilte faser blev der-25 efter forarbejdet til en emulsion i en emulgeringsmaskine.
Med de ovennævnte emulsioner blev der på et enkeltkvartovalseanlæg udført koldvalsningsforsøg med aluminium med en Al-renhed på 99,2%. Stikaftagningen androg delvis indtil 92% . På de valsede aluminiumbånd kunne i intet tilfælde iagttages vandpletter. Ligeledes førte ingen af 30 emulsionerne ved en efterfølgende glødning af de valsede, bånd til rester på båndoverfladen.
