Apparatus for use in the manufacture of a support for a pipeline (6) disposed freely hanging over a corrugated seabed (2), which apparatus as the starting material for the support comprises an expandable pad (28) which is releasably connected to the apparatus during its operation and which is formed by a sheath consisting of a high-strength synthetic fiber fabric having a saddle-shaped top part (30) and a rectangular bottom part (29), and the apparatus suspended in a carrier cable (8) is adapted to be submerged from a custodian (7) to the seabed (2) near the pipeline (6), after which it is arranged for maneuvering by means of a submarine vessel having a pivotal working arm. into the conduit (6) for placing the pad (28) at the location below the conduit (6) where it is to be supported, 5 wherein the apparatus is adapted to inject a liquid curable cement into the pad (28) below the conduit (6) , characterized in that the apparatus comprises a recoverable operating assembly (9) having three injection systems (23, 10 12, 22) - each arranged for injecting the flow of cement into the pad (28) below the pipeline (6) and consisting of a housing (10) in which is carried a bottom-equipped container (11) having a flexible discharge pipe (25) and which is designed to be filled with liquid cement, the first of the operating unit (9) injection system comprises an assembly (23) disposed on the bottom portion of the container (11) and connected to the flexible outlet tube (25) of the container (11), which is comprised of a rotary pump and a hydraulic motor capable of operating the rotary pump and operable by a projecting control arm (24) capable of actuated by the submarine working arm, that at the free end of the flexible outlet pipe (25) of the container (11) is provided a coupling (26) which can be coupled by means of a protruding guide arm (27) operable by the submarine working arm to and from a coupling means located at the free end of a flexible inlet pipe (32) containing a non-return valve (33) and extending from the side of the pad (28) facing the operating assembly (9), having on its opposite side a bracket (31) which serves to releasably attach the working arm of the underwater vessel to the bottom portion (29) 35 of the cushion (28) for inserting the still empty cushion under the pipeline (6),
