Abstract
The system consists of a frame which bears a hydraulic mechanism with hooks for the retention of a metallic tube from its upper end in a vertical position, and the simultaneous retension of the lower end of a flexible tube which surrounds the upper end of the metallic one tightly, having a slightly larger diameter. The flexible tube ends at the sea surface where it is connected to a water pump, so that when activated it delivers water pressure via the flexible tube to the metallic tube. The tube retention mechanism is launched to the sea bed and the water under pressure delivered flows out of the lower end of the metallic tube and displaces the sea bed sediment and enables the tube to penetrate the sea bed up to a desired depth. The depth of dimension is determined by the footings which are attached to the metallic frame of the system. When the immersion of the metallic tube is completed, the release mechanism from the hooks is activated and the system is brought to the sea surface for re-use.
