DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
The aim of the invention is a method and a device to enable the liquid to be largely withdrawn from fine-grained slurries in continuous operation.
There are various methods and devices for filtering slurries known, but all have the disadvantage that the filter performance decreases sharply with increasing fineness of the solids and therefore the operating equipment such. B. be used to filter ash or clay-rich waste from coal processing, have a large space requirement. This is particularly true of vacuum filtration, as it is common today in large coal processing companies.
In the case of substances that are difficult to filter, pressure filter apparatuses have a low area performance or high space requirements usually still have the disadvantage that they work discontinuously, albeit the degree of dewatering that can be achieved can be higher than with vacuum filtration.
Die Entfernung von Flüssigkeit aus Aufschlämmungen durch Filterschleudern, Zentrifugalfilter oder ähnliche Maschinen unter Benutzung der Zentrifugalkraft bedingt zumeist hohen spezifischen Leistungsaufwand und starken Verschleiß an denThe removal of liquid from slurries by spinning filters, centrifugal filters or similar machines using centrifugal force usually require high specific Effort and heavy wear and tear on the

Filter means as at the same time another, mostly undesirable grain size reduction.
·It is also known that vibrations or shifts during the filtering process 5 the drainage effect is often increased. According to the invention, vibrations are now higher Frequency used to improve the filtering process and the transport at the same time to effect the forming filter cake through the filter medium. The device used for this purpose hereinafter referred to as vibration filter, also has the disadvantages of others listed above Filter equipment, such as high space requirements or low area coverage, discontinuous operation, high energy expenditure, heavy wear and tear, grain size reduction, does not occur. ·
Folgende Vorgänge wirken bei der schnellen Abtrennung der Flüssigkeit vom Feststoff gemeinsam:The following processes act together in the rapid separation of the liquid from the solid:
Under the action of the vibration to which the slurry is subjected, the Solid particles quickly fall off and the liquid contained between them is drained through the Accelerated vacuum under the filter medium.
The vibrations cause the formation of bridges between flat solid particles, which reduce the permeability of the filter cake, destroyed.
The particles can move against each other during the filtering process so that the theoretically closest packing is almost reached.
The acceleration forces occurring during vibration, which are ten times the acceleration due to gravity can exceed, the particles press firmly together, creating the intercapillary water is largely eliminated.
Due to these causes, the achievable drainage with the vibration filter is higher than with others Filter apparatus under the same pressure conditions is the case.
The ones used for drainage and for transporting the filter cake on the filter medium Vibrations with a high number of oscillations have a frequency of at least 50 Hz (3000 / min) and an amplitude that is less than 1.5 mm. With increasing frequency, the amplitude of the Vibrations. This decrease is due to mechanical reasons, as the filter box must be completely vibration-resistant.
The prerequisite for proper transport of the filter cake on the filter medium is only given if there are no harmonics and the oscillation amplitude is greater than the entire filter length is the same.
In the drawing, an embodiment of a device according to the invention is shown.
The vibration filter consists of a filter box i which is elastically suspended in a support structure 2. For suspension, for example, anti-vibration buffers 3 or similar elastic machine elements are used. The box is closed at the top by the filter medium carrier 4, which is screwed airtight to the box with the aid of seals 5. About the filter medium carrier 4, the filter medium (fabric) 6 is stretched taut by springs 7 or otherwise secured in such a way that it cannot produce any harmonics. In the bottom of the box 1 there is the connection 8 for the suction line 9, which is elastically connected to the filter by a hose 10. A vibrator 11 is used to drive the vibration filter, which acts on a support structure 12 in the center of gravity of the filter box 1 and sets it in directional vibrations. The direction of oscillation is inclined towards the dropping end of the filter box at an angle α, so that the oblique oscillation α is broken down into a vertical component b for drainage and a horizontal component c for transport. The support structure 12 is arranged to be pivotable, so that the vertical or horizontal components in the oscillation can be increased as required. The support structure 2 is constructed so that the filter box ι can be raised after its discharge end, whereby the drainage success is increased or the required filter box length is reduced. A fastening device 13 enables the angle of rise β to be adjusted to suit the material to be dewatered in each case. On the filter box 1, a spray board 14 increasing in height is attached to the feed side. In order to prevent the feed sludge from overflowing into the dewatered material in the event of malfunctions, an emergency overflow 15 is cut out in the splashboard 14.
In the exemplary embodiment, 16 places a sealing strip between the splashboard 14 and filter means 6 in order to prevent an outflow of liquid on the feed side.
ArbeitsweiseWay of working
The solid-liquid mixture flows from a feed device 17 through a metering tap 18 onto the filter box 1. As the filter box 1 rises after the end of the discharge, a sump forms on the feed side, from which, due to the horizontal component c of the oscillation, the 'Filter cake grows out. On its way over the filter medium 6, the cake is thrown off with the aid of the vertical oscillation component b and the negative pressure 19. Angle of oscillation α and thus the transport speed on the filter as well as angle of rise β are variably set depending on the material to be dewatered, and the vacuum in the filter box 1 is also variable.
