KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. Das vorliegende, nach Art einer Harke von Hand zu führende Geräth dient zum Abschneiden von Unkraut, Gras und dergl. unterhalb der Bodenoberfläche, namentlich um Bäume und andere Nutzpflanzen herum, sowie zum Auflockern . des Erdbodens in deren Nähe, ohne dabei die Nutzpflanzen zu beschädigen. Der Bau des Geräthes ergiebt sich aus beiliegender Zeichnung, deren Fig. 1 bis 4 sich auf eine Ausführungform und Fig. 5 und 6 auf eine zweite beziehen. Im Wesentlichen besteht das Geräth, wie beide Ausführungsdarstellungen erkennen lassen, aus einer Leiste 1, welche mit einem Stiele 2 nach Art einer Harke verbunden und auf der Unterseite mit einer Doppelreihe versetzt stehender Zinken 7 bezw. 4 versehen ist. Auf der Spitze jeder Zinke ist eine zweckmäfsig vierseitig zugeschärfte Schneidplatte 10 befestigt, sei es durch Vernietung oder Verschraubung, derart, dafs vor dem Zwischenraum zwischen zwei Platten einer Reihe je eine Platte der anderen Reihe steht und damit die Wirkung derjenigen einer durchgehenden Schneidkante gleichkommt. Der Unterschied in der Ausführung des Geräthes gemäfs Fig. 1 bis 4 und Fig. 5 und 6 liegt in der Anordnung der die Schneidplatten 10 tragenden Zinken 7. In beiden Formen sind nicht einzelne Zinken, die sich auch als, praktisch vorfheilhaft erweisen mögen, sondern Zinkenpaare auf der Leiste 1 befestigt, im Falle der Fig. 1 bis 4 die Gabelzinken 3 mittelst Verschraubung 8 und 9, im anderen Falle Bügelzinken 4 mittelst Leiste 5 und Schraubenbolzen 6. Bezüglich der Wirkung dieses Geräthes gegenüber bekannten, demselben Zwecke dienenden Geräthen ist hervorzuheben, dafs dasselbe nach Art einer Harke, also waagrecht in beliebiger Richtung durch Schub oder Zug bewegt wird, wobei nicht nur das Unkraut je nach der Tiefe, in welcher man das Geräth in dem Boden arbeiten läfst, abgeschnitten, sondern auch das Erdreich wie durch eine gewöhnliche Harke zerkleinert, durchlüftet und das abgeschnittene Unkraut herausbefördert wird. Handlichkeit, sowie die Möglichkeit, nach jeder Richtung hin von einem festen Punkte aus mit dem Werkzeuge zu arbeiten, sind seine Vorzüge. Paτent-Ansprüche:IMPERIAL PATENT OFFICE.
