Description

Process for the production of mass cores, in particular for the purposes of high frequency technology The invention relates to a method of production of earth cores, especially for the purposes of high frequency technology, in which that of a metallizable powder, in particular iron powder, and a mixture of organic substances in a heated, viscous state under Pressure is injected into a mold.

In a known method of this type, the core mass, which is in essentially of a magnetizable powder, e.g. B. iron powder, and a thermoplastic Insulating material consists in a heated, viscous state in an injection mold brought a certain amount of pressure. The insulating materials are generally such used on the basis of polystyrenes, polyvinyls, polyamides or polyacrylics are constructed.

It is also known binders made of polystyrene or polyvinyl carbazole Add lubricants made from natural resins, synthetic resins or organic high molecular acids. It is always a question of the mixture alone of two substances (binder and lubricant). It is also known as a binder Paraffin, ceresin, Waxes, synthetic resins, coumarone resins, pitches and asphalts to use and these substances in amounts of about 5% or one twentieth of that Amount of binding agent to add lubricant, for example sulfur, paraffin and ceresin. Here, too, it is a question of the mixture of a single substance as a binder and an additive as a lubricant.

In the case of polystyrenes, there are now varieties that are more or less heat-resistant are. It has been shown that the less heat-resistant polystyrenes in Let the mixture with the magnetizable powder splash slightly. With the more heat-resistant Polystyrenes have the phenomenon that they become magnetizable when mixed with Powder, especially iron powder, can be sprayed so poorly that it becomes a manufacturing process Production is not possible, at least not in the one that is of particular practical interest Mixing ratio of about 12 or less percent by weight of insulating material Iron powder. One was therefore forced to accept that the mass cores would not always have sufficient heat resistance. The usual ones in the injection molding process The mass cores produced only had a heat resistance of up to 75 ° at the most C after Vicat. There are now cases in which mass cores with greater heat resistance should be used at least up to 100 ° C according to Vicat. The present invention shows one way in which such cores can be made.

The invention consists in that the mixture of polystyrenes different heat resistance, with the proportion higher heat resistant Polystyrene has a heat resistance of at least 100 ° C according to Vicat and is greater than the proportion of low heat resistant polystyrene that these amounts of polystyrene are in a weight ratio of 5: 3 and that, moreover, the mixture for improvement the sprayability a lubricant, in particular paraffin oil, preferably in one Share of about 1.4 percent by weight, is added.

Surprisingly, it has been shown that this mixture of Allows thermoplastics of different heat resistance to be sprayed well with iron powder, although the proportion of thermoplastics, which is higher heat resistant and therefore heavier are sprayable, is greater than the proportion of less heat-resistant thermoplastics, which are easy to spray in and of themselves. In the case of the method of the present Cores manufactured in accordance with the invention have also shown that the heat resistance of the core is not reduced by the addition and the permeability is somewhat reduced assumes a higher value than with the previously known cores.
