Description

The invention relates to an internal combustion engine, in particular a two-stroke internal combustion engine, in which the charge of the working cylinder is triggered by during its exhaust process Pressure waves are increased in pressure and volume after the inlet openings are closed, wherein in a connected to the working cylinder, the exhaust gases receiving line or a pipe system baffles, z. B. in the form of a narrowing of the line of such a cross-section and such a distance from the cylinder that the one arising when the connection between the cylinder and the pipe is opened and on it pressure wave reflected from the baffle is positive before reclosing the connection opening in the cylinder and thereby the pressure in the cylinder Combustion air located increased, according to patent 946930.

The object of the invention is their advantageous application also with to enable internal combustion engines working together with exhaust gas turbines. Solved this object is according to the invention in that in a machine according to the main patent the baffles by a known per se connected into the exhaust pipe Exhaust turbine are formed. The replacement of the baffles or nozzle-shaped constriction through the blade system of an exhaust gas turbine is easily possible because the pressure waves be thrown back from the shovel system in the same way as from a baffle or a nozzle-shaped constriction.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown schematically.

In the exhaust line a of the cylinder b , an exhaust gas turbine c is switched on at a distance L from the cylinder, the blade system d of which reflects the pressure wave running through the exhaust line at the speed of sound when the exhaust ports of the cylinder are opened. The distance L of the turbine c from the cylinder is dimensioned so that the positive pressure wave thrown back on the blade system d reaches the cylinder before the exhaust ports are closed again, so that the flushing agent that has passed into the exhaust line during the previous flushing is pushed back into the cylinder. This increases the f) jerk in the cylinder.
