Die bisher bekannten Gliederketten-Thonelevatoren leiden an dem Uebelstand, dafs sie nur ziemlich flach und geradlinig emporsteigen und verhältnifsmäfsig nur dünnen Materialbelag vertragen können, wenn letzterer nicht während des Ganges , herunterrollen soll. Die an denselben angebrachten, den Thon und ähnliche Substanzen aufnehmenden Kasten reichen von einem Verbindungsbolzen bis zum nächstfolgenden und können infolge dessen nur flache Kasten tragen. Um längere und tiefere Kasten anbringen zu können und der Gliederkette mit Kasten eine gröfsere Beweglichkeit zu geben, ist es nothwendig, die zwischen den äufseren Kettengliedern befestigten Kasten wegzulassen und dafür die zwischen den inneren Gliedern befestigten Kasten nach vorn und hinten zu verlängern, bis sie sich beinahe berühren. Die einfachste Art, dies zu bewerkstelligen, ist die, dafs die inneren Kettenglieder nach beiden Längsrichtungen verlängert und die Stehbolzen zwischen denselben an deren Enden angebracht werden, während die Gliederdrehpunkte an den bisherigen Stellen bleiben. Macht man nun die einzelnen Becher bezw. Kasten so stark, z.
