Description

The present invention relates to an all-purpose helmet/bicycle helmet with cap/ear flaps that can be used in all seasons.

The previously known children's helmets are not suitable for use in winter, autumn and spring, when the child usually wears a hat because of the cold. Normally, a slightly larger helmet would then have to be purchased that can be used during the season when the child wears a hat or ear flaps.

The aim of the present invention is to produce a helmet that can be used all year round without difficulty.

This is achieved by means of a helmet, the characterizing features of which are set out in claim 1. Further features of the invention are apparent from the remaining dependent claims.

The helmet consists of an upper shell 10 and a lower shell 11, which can be made of duroplast. An inner shell 1 is inserted into the inside of the upper shell 10, which consists of a shock-absorbing material and has the shape of a child's head. The lower

Plastic shell 11 covers the ear and the lower part of the head, while the shock-absorbing material 1 extends over the ear so that the child can hear well and at the same time the entire head of the smallest children is protected.

The cap shown in Figure 2, suitable for use with the helmet, has an inner contour that corresponds to the inner helmet 1. Following the inner helmet, the cap extends downwards on the inside with an ear flap part 4.

The cap follows the contour lines 9, 6 to the front part of the lower part of the helmet 11 and then merges into the lower edge of the ear flaps 4 and then follows the contour line 7 to the rear part of the lower shell 11, thus also providing protection for the child's neck. The ear flaps 4 fill the empty space 5 between the hard shell 11 and the ear. The cap therefore also ensures, by fitting tightly to the child's head, that cuts to the child's neck and side are avoided if the helmet is turned sharply.

The ear flaps are filled with an expanded self-constructing or padded material. In the ear, the material that lies in the ear flaps 4 can be perforated to allow sounds to pass through the ear part.

The ear flaps can then either lie loosely between them, against the inner shell 1 or be attached to it with Velcro.

If the helmet is used without ear flaps, the cap is replaced by filling pads corresponding to the thickness of the cap 3 .

This resulted in a helmet that can be used all year round and provides the highest possible level of protection.

The upper hard shell 10 can be provided with ventilation through the inner shell 1 and upwards through gaps, as indicated in Figure 1 or Figure 4.
