Das neue System bringt durch eine Optimierung der Gehäuseanordnung eine weitere wesentliche Temperaturentlastung mit sich. Bisherige Projektorkonstruktionen benutzen meist Wärmefilter die im Strahlungsgang zwischen den beiden Kondensorlinsen installiert sind. Wesentlich besser ist es die Wärmestrahlung schon vor dem Kondensorsystem zu reduzieren. Die neue Anordnung sieht vor, daß ein runder rotierender Glaswärmefilter, dessen Rotationsachse parallel zur optischen Lichtachse jedoch außerhalb des Projektionsstrahlengangs liegt, zwischen dem Leuchtmittel und der ersten Konsensorlinse installiert ist. Alternativ kann bei gleichbleibender Leistung durch die erzielte Wärmereduzierung im Bildebenenbereich auch der Einsatz von LCD- oder ähnl. Projektionspanels vorgesehen werden, die in der Standardausführung nur ca. 40 Grad Celsius Umgebungstemperatur vertragen. Alternativ zum Wärmefilter wird eine halbkreisförmige Rotationsblende aus Alublech- oder Alulochblech eingesetzt, die ebenfalls eine Wärmereduzierung durch die wiederkehrende Strahlungsunterbrechnung bewirkt. Gleichzeitig ergibt sich noch ein mit Lichtschwellern vergleichbarer Auf- und Abblendeffekt. Je nach eingesetzter Rasterdichte entsteht zusätzlich auch eine Art optischer Wischeffekt. UV-Filter schützen die Foliendias vor dem Ausbleichen und verlängern die Standzeit erheblich.
