Description
Soest, NiederlandeSoest, Netherlands
The invention relates to a flat floor element, in particular for stables, in which at least the upper layer is made of a hardening material such as polymer concrete.
In order to cope with different climatic conditions, it may be desirable to design floors or parts of floors in such a way that the upward-facing surfaces can be heated or cooled to a desired temperature. This applies mainly to buildings used for keeping animals. In breeding farms, for example, the temperature of the floor on which the animals stand or lie is as important to the welfare of the (young) animals, which contributes significantly to their health and growth, as maintaining a certain constant temperature of the ambient air in their accommodation.
From the European patent application 362100, stable floor elements made of polymer concrete are known which contain an electrical conductor with resistance for heating the floor elements.
US-PS 2 763 565 describes an electrical metal heating device. French patent application 2 251 151 discloses a synthetic heating element, also electrically operated, for various applications.
It is known that the above-mentioned floor structures consume a considerable amount of energy when used exclusively for heating purposes, if electric heating elements are used for this purpose. At the same time, the safety measures and thermostatic control of the electric current through the heating elements make these floor structures relatively complex and delicate and, consequently, expensive and prone to failure.
In another known application of stable floor elements, as described in Dutch patent application 82 00150, which are made of concrete and have a closed and an open grid-like area, the upper surface of the closed area can be provided with grooves into which, after installation of the floor elements in the stable, heating pipes can be inserted. The subsequent installation of the heating pipes, which requires subsequent finishing of the upper surfaces, causes additional costs and the lifespan of the upper surfaces is shortened.
Ein weiterer Nachteil besteht darin, daß keine geschlossene Oberfläche ausreichender GrößeFinally, French patent application 2 198 516 discloses a grid floor for stables in which the bars of the grid are formed by tubular elements made of PVC. The ends of these tubular elements are connected in series with connectors in order to be able to pass a medium for cooling or heating purposes through the grid. A disadvantage of this known floor construction is that the PVC tubes are easily scratched and manure can accumulate in the scratches. In addition, the efficiency is rather low since the influence of the medium is directed in all directions, i.e. upwards and downwards. Another disadvantage is that no closed surface of sufficient size is possible.
Furthermore, the gaps between the tubular bars cause air exchange between the areas above the floor and the area below the floor, which leads to a reduction in the efficiency of temperature regulation of the floor and the areas above the floor. This is mainly important when cooling is required. Another effect is that gases from the manure penetrate through the floor into the area above, causing great nuisance.
The object of the invention is to provide an improved floor element which offers a large supporting surface, e.g. for an animal, wherein said supporting surface can be cooled or heated according to individual needs using a relatively small amount of energy.
The subject of the invention is a flat floor element, in particular for stables, consisting of an upper wall, a side wall and a bottom wall, wherein at least the upper wall is made of polymer concrete, and wherein in the floor element, in the upper wall and/or near the underside of the upper wall, a channel device for the flow of a cooling or heating fluid to influence the temperature of the upper surface of the upper wall as well as devices for the inflow and outflow of the fluid to and from the channel device and an insulating protection for thermally insulating the outer wall and the bottom wall from the channel device are provided.
eingeschlossen betrachtet.
35Preferred embodiments are described in subclaims 2-8 and are considered as such included in the description.

A floor, in particular a stable floor, composed of the floor elements according to the invention can be cooled or heated to the required temperature in an energy-saving manner. In particular, animals are provided with a surface for lying on which the temperature is comfortable, regardless of whether the stable is located in a region with a cold climate or a hot climate, such as the Middle East.
Since a rapid and downward drainage of the manure is desirable in a stable floor, the invention provides a floor element that has thickenings on its outside. These thickenings serve as a spacer between the peripheral surface and the surrounding stable elements in such a way that a local gap is formed for the drainage of the manure and thus a relatively large surface for the animals to lie on is maintained. Further preferred embodiments are described in claims 10 - 13 and are considered as such included in the description.
One of the main advantages of a polymer concrete embodiment, in particular polyester concrete, is that its properties correspond relatively well to the intended use, compared, for example, with cement concrete, steel and thermoplastic materials such as polyvinyl chloride and the like. Particularly suitable properties of polyester concrete in this respect are its relatively high resistance to wear and change under the highest and most aggressive stress, its high mechanical strength, its extremely low ability to absorb substances and, as a result, its insensitivity to manure.
Weiterhin scheint Polyesterbeton verhältnismäßig gut geeignet zu sein, eine gleichmäßige Temperatur über eineFurthermore, polyester concrete seems to be relatively well suited to maintaining a uniform temperature over a
bestimmte Zeitspanne beizubehalten, was in einem höheren Wirkungsgrad resultiert.certain period of time, resulting in higher efficiency.
Its permanently smooth, perfectly closed structure as well as its partial absorption of moisture make polyester concrete a very suitable material in terms of hygiene, including aspects such as undesirable bacterial cultures and the need for quick and effective cleaning. When polyester concrete is used in stable floor systems, the risk of injury to animals is almost eliminated.
Es zeigen: 15A preferred form of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. They show: 15

A fluid, such as a liquid, steam or gas, can flow through a channel 7 formed in the base element and consisting of one or more loops 8. This channel can be equipped at its ends with fittings or pipe sections 9 (see Figs. 2 and 3) and also with corresponding fittings or quick couplings optionally fixed in the base wall and can be used for connection to an inlet or outlet pipe in a conventional manner (not shown in the Figs.).
It is obvious that in this way several elements can be connected to each other by means of coupling tubes.
The use of a thermal insulation layer 10 (Fig. 1 and 4) made of polyurethane foam, which is also contained in the floor element and on which - or partly in which - the circulation channel 7 is arranged, results in the heat or cold transport from the circulation medium to the floor element taking place predominantly in one direction, i.e. in the direction of the upper surface of the upper wall 2, so that the loss of heat or cold via the outer surfaces of the floor wall 3 and the side walls 4 and 5 is reduced.
Genauso kann auch eine einteilige Schicht zur Verteilung der Wärme oder Kälte, bestehend aus einer Metallplatte oder einer Metallfolie, die ebenso gut leitungsfähig ist, in herkömmlicher Weise auf derIn order to simplify the construction of the circulation channel 7 when producing the floor element according to the invention, the channel can consist of a metal pipe 7. For a practical application of the floor element, the desired heat or cold transport can be improved even further by equipping said pipe completely or partially with known means (not shown in the figures) for increasing the outer surface, e.g. with ribs or fins. In the same way, a one-piece layer for distributing the heat or cold, consisting of a metal plate or a metal foil, which is equally good at conduction, can be applied in a conventional manner to the
Seite des Umlaufkanals angebracht werden, die in Richtung der oberen Oberfläche der oberen Wand 2 gerichtet ist, um so eine gleichförmige Verteilung des Wärme- oder Kältetransports auf die obere Oberfläche des Bodenelements zu fördern.side of the circulation channel directed towards the upper surface of the upper wall 2 so as to promote a uniform distribution of the heat or cold transport to the upper surface of the floor element.
As shown in Fig. 4, both the circulation channel 7 and the thermal insulation layer 10 are completely embedded in the floor element made of polyester concrete 6, and the upper surface has a shape - when the floor element is used as a stable floor - which is preferably curved in all directions sloping towards the edge so that unhindered flow of the manure towards the edge is achieved.
In this respect, one or more integrated thickenings 12 are provided at the edge of the floor element to form interrupted gaps for the drainage of the manure into a receiving area or a gutter at a lower level after the floor elements are installed on or in the support structure enclosed by the boundary walls of the accommodation. In order to further improve the drainage of the manure, the upper side of said thickenings can also be curved or inclined in the longitudinal direction of the side walls 4 and 5 and can have sloping side walls 12a oriented at an angle smaller than 90° with respect to the lower surface of the floor wall 3 according to Figs. 2 and 3.
In a further embodiment, not shown in the figures, the side walls 4 and 5 are arranged at an angle greater than 90° with respect to the floor surface in order to further improve the drainage of the manure.
Es ist klar, daß die unterbrochenen Spalten zwischen der 5 Stützkonstruktion und den Bodenelementen sich nach unten hinIt is clear that the interrupted gaps between the 5 support structure and the floor elements extend downwards
erweitern, was den Ablauf des Dungs in den aufnehmenden Bereich einer tiefer gelegenen Ebene erleichtert.which facilitates the flow of manure into the receiving area at a lower level.
In any case, it will be appreciated that the field of application of the floor elements according to the invention is not limited to floor systems to be installed in stables or similar animal housing, but may also include floors that have already been built, as well as any other situation requiring temperature control by means of heating or cooling the floor or sub-floor.
