The invention relates to a bicycle carrier for

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the bicycle carrier is provided with guide rails which are arranged on the rear of the vehicle parallel to its longitudinal direction and consist of at least two sections which are connected to one another via an articulated connecting part.

This design allows the bike rack to adapt to the shape of the rear of the vehicle and extend a little into the roof. Loading and unloading is very easy, as the bike can be placed relatively low on one section of the guard rail and then pushed up without having to be lifted.

It is also very advantageous if, according to the invention, a further guide rail is arranged at the lower end of the lower guide rail section via a joint, which can be locked at an angle of approximately 90° to the lower guide rail section.

It is also very advantageous if, according to the invention, the articulated guide rail is designed to be extendable.

This makes it possible to fold down this guide rail and extend it to the ground, making it much easier to place and push the bike up.

It has proven to be very advantageous if, according to a further embodiment of the invention, a retaining strap or the like is attached to the guard rail, which engages with the other end on the guard rail section.

This retaining strap serves as additional or sole securing of the guard rail section in its

folded up position and can also provide additional support for the bike.

It is also very advantageous if, according to the invention, a clamp-like holder is provided which engages the down tube leading from the steering head to the bottom bracket of the bicycle.

This makes it possible to secure the bike both lengthwise and crosswise.

In the drawing, a bicycle stand is attached to the rear or rear roof end of a minibus, which consists of two guide rails 3 and 5 that are U-shaped in cross-section and are connected to one another via an articulated connecting part 4. At the lower end of the guide rail 3, a further guide rail 1 is arranged via a joint 6, which can be locked at an angle of 90° to the guide rail section 3. For this purpose, either the joint 6 itself can have a locking mechanism, or a retaining strap 2 is used for this locking mechanism, with this retaining strap 2 running diagonally from the end of the guide rail 1 to the guide rail 3 and being attached to both.

A clamp-like holder 7 is attached to the roof of the vehicle via an unspecified bracket, which grips the down tube of the bicycle and fixes it both lengthwise and crosswise.

The upper guide rail 5 is also conveniently attached to the console arranged on both sides of the vehicle using a connecting rod. The articulated connecting part 4 makes it possible to open a flap on the rear of the vehicle without having to remove the bike rack.

Bicycle carrier for motor vehicles, on which the bicycles stand with their two wheels, characterized in that the bicycle carrier is provided with guide rails (1, 3, 5) which are arranged on the rear of the vehicle parallel to its longitudinal direction and consist of at least two sections (3, 5) which are connected to one another via an articulated connecting part (4). 2. Bicycle carrier according to claim 1, characterized in that a further guide rail (1) is arranged around the lower end of the lower guide rail section (3) via a joint (6), which can be locked at an angle of approximately 90° to the guide rail section (3). 3. Bicycle carrier according to claim 2, characterized in that the articulated guide rail (1) is designed to be extendable. 4. Bicycle carrier according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that a retaining strap (2) or the like is fastened to the guide rail (1), which engages with its other end on the guide rail section (3). 5. Bicycle carrier according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a clamp-like holder (7) is provided which engages the down tube leading from the steering head to the bottom bracket of the bicycle.
