Schwierigkeiten bereitet aber das Isolieren der Laibungen von Fenster- und Türöffnungen, weil dazu viele kleinere Plattenzuschnitte erforderlich sind, die auch noch genau eingepaßt werden müssen, um Kältebrücken zu vermeiden. Auf ihrer Außenseite werden die Dämmplatten zweckmäßig aufgerauht, damit sie eine möglichst feste Verbindung mit dem Beton eingehen und diese Verbindung auch bei Entfernung des Schalungsrahmens bestehen bleibt.
