Chest with pull-out compartment

The innovation concerns a freezer whose pull-out compartment on the front allows frozen goods to be stored or removed from underneath the hanging baskets arranged inside, without opening the freezer lid.

Conventional freezers offer the possibility of storing a large amount of frozen goods thanks to their relatively large interior. The interior of these chests is divided into an upper chest section with hanging baskets and a lower chest section consisting of the chest body. In order to remove or store frozen goods below the hanging baskets, the hanging baskets have to be removed while the chest is open, which is cumbersome and not particularly easy. This results in the chest being open for a very long time and some of the refrigerated goods unnecessarily giving off their cooling energy to the outside area. In addition, the refrigerated goods stored in the lower part of the chest are difficult to reach due to their low position and can often only be removed by rearranging other refrigerated goods.

This is where the innovation comes in. Its task is to propose a freezer of the type mentioned at the beginning, whose pull-out compartment on the front allows frozen goods to be stored or removed from underneath the hanging baskets inside without having to open the actual freezer lid. Frozen goods in the hanging baskets can be accessed from above, frozen goods under the hanging baskets from the front, without reducing the interior size. This makes it easier to move the frozen goods to the bottom, shortens the time the freezer is open, unused frozen goods are not unnecessarily removed from the storage compartments and overall cooling energy is saved. The previous method of using refrigerated goods in the lower part of the freezer from above can also be used with a pull-out compartment.

Chest freezer, characterized in that a pull-out compartment is arranged on the front side of the chest body, which allows frozen goods to be removed or stored from underneath the internal hanging baskets without opening the chest lid. 2.
