Zur Futteraufbereitung oder für andere technische Zwecke hat man bereits die verschiedensten Einrichtungen geschaffen, um beispielsweise gedämpfte Kartoffeln, Früchte, Rüben od. dgl. zu zerkleinern oder zu zerquetschen. So kennt man beispielsweise Stampfeinrichtungen oder hin und her gehende Rechen, die das aufgegebene Gut zerreißen und zerquetschen sollen. Andererseits hat man auch bereits vorgeschlagen, rotierende Zinken oder ähnliches zu verwenden, die mit ortsfesten Gegenzinken zusammenarbeiten und beim Hindurchtreten durch dieselben das aufgegebene Gut mitnehmen und zwischen sich zerreiben. Alle diese Einrichtungen haben den Nachteil einer nur geringen Leistung, außerdem sind sie sehr stark Betriebsstörungen, Verstopfungen od. dgl. unterworfen. Durch die Erfindung werden die Nachteile der bekannten Einrichtungen restlos beseitigt, indem erfindungsgemäß ein Aufnahmebehälter für das zu zerkleinernde Gut zur Anwendung gelangt, in dessen Auslaß eine Mühle eingeschaltet ist.
