Der in Fig. 1 und 2 dargestellte neue Ableiter besteht aus einer in sich geschlossenen Rohrschleife α von länglicher Form. Der Zu- und Abflufs des Dampfes erfolgt jedoch nicht wie bei bekannten Dampfwasserableitern an einem Ende der Rohrschleife, sondern in der Mitte derselben. Die Anschlufsstücke b und c werden zweckmäfsig aus Gufs, die Schleifentheile a1 aus Schmied eisen, Messing oder einem gleichwerthigen Material hergestellt. Die Schleifentheile werden durch Rohrmuffen a'2 mit den Anschlufsstücken b und c verbunden und ihre äufsersten Enden durch eine unbiegsame Strebe g, welche als Zug- und Druckstange dient, in einem bestimmten Abstande von einander gehalten. Der Bock d zur Aufnahme der Ventilspindel e ist am Gufsstück befestigt oder mit diesem aus einem Stück angefertigt. Der durch den Stutzen b1 des Einlafsstückes b eintretende Dampf vertheilt sich gleichmäfsig nach beiden Schleifentheilen a1, so dafs die Ausdehnung der Rohrschleife gleichmäfsig und symmetrisch erfolgt. Es ist der Apparat somit wesentlich empfindlicher und wirkungsvoller als die bisher bekannten ähnlichen Ableiter. Hat sich der Ableiter mit Niederschlagswasser gefüllt, so zieht sich die Schleife infolge der darauf eintretenden Abkühlung zusammen. Die Strebe g kommt hierbei als Druckstange zur Geltung, so dafs sich die Schleife in ihrer Längsrichtung nicht zusammenziehen kann, sondern ein Zusammenziehen nur in der Höhenrichtung erfolgt, mithin das Ventil sich unfehlbar öffnet und das angesammelte Wasser abläfst.The steam entering through the nozzle b 1 of the inlet piece b is distributed evenly to both loop parts a 1 , so that the expansion of the pipe loop takes place uniformly and symmetrically.
